what the heck is going on?

hey guys... im growing an ak48 auto under:
600w hps
plagron light mix
ph 6.8-7.0

the first true leaves seem to be nute burned, but its not the "normal" symptoms (as i lost a plant not long ago to it)...
there was a slight yellowing, followed by a yellow "margin" slowly creeping up the leaf. the tips are a bit crispy, but not brown. its just sort of discolored.

can anybody let me know whats going on here?

I had the same problem in biobizz allmix soil. Try flushing out the soil before using it on seedlings, test your ph (my ph was way to high and the plant was getting early random def) but yes man try flushing out some soil before replanting it.

Looks like the soil may be a bit hot for the seedling. Light distance sounds fine. I would just give it a few weeks of plain water and see how it does. Thats about all you can do at this point really...

thanks guys!
i raised the light another 8 inches or so just to be safe.

is it really safe to flush a seedling? this plant sprouted from the soil on december 9.

I would think that would be a more then enough distance. I would leave it and try flushing and see if it improves. Watch your PH.
my ph is a stable 6.8 or so. no problems there :)

i figured the nutes will lower it a bit as well (when i start with that the middle of next month)

update:
the "burn" pattern hasnt spread *phew!*

i think i may have overwatered a bit, as the leaves are now a tad puffy and curling downward.
otherwise, the little gal looks healthy, and is working on the 3rd set of leaves (first "4" leaf pattern).
they should be unfolded later today :)

thanks again for the help, guys!

Or start over when you got some good dirt, good water, ph tested and GOOD light sorce.BANG YOU GOT WEED!!!!
haha! thanks i suppose?
this was a test plant to make sure my factors were all in order.
next time, im gonna have to flush the soil before use i think.

i either have too much N, or i overwatered... both of which are possible.
im gonna grow this baby to maturity under the same basic conditions i have been (adjusting for problems of course), and see what the score is on the final result.

i raised the 600w hps to about 4.5 feet the other day, and the little guy definitely seems happier.

hey guys... can low humidity cause slight tacoing of my leaves?
most of the info i can google doesnt really say what the effects of that are, aside from lower yield.

btw: the burning is completely halted. i think this strain (auto ak48 sagarmatha) is just a really delicate plant.

Sorry to come on your post asking for help but im a newbie between a rock and a hard place :wall:. Im about 4 weeks from seed, im growing in ffof with 25% added perlite im watering with 6.5 ph tap water and my runoff is coming out at 5.0. The only reason I complaining is because I have some type of deficiency or slight nute burn do to me adding a half of tsp of the General Hydroponics Flora Nova Grow nutes (7-4-10). Im growing in a 3x3 tent with a 400w mh reflector hood my temps stay between 72-75 degrees and humidity between 45%-65%. I don't know what the issue is so any help would be appreciated. By the way the strain is white widow/big bud from attitude. Pic are below.

for those who are curious as to how this grow went, this is my ak48 auto (sagarmatha). she is in her last 3 weeks of flowering.
it turns out the soil is just a tad hot, but just fine after the initial seedling phase.
also growing now: one strawberry cough, and one boulder bubblegum.

Yeah . U was lucky those seedlings pulled through in that hot soil i made same mistake a long time ago and lost the lot ..i now start seedlings in a lightmix and keep them in it all the way through .as i like to have control of the nutrients they get

Bad advice. I have learned that when you are struggling dont kill off and start over. Use these plants to better your knowledge on growing. Even if the plants dont produce the most you gained more experience that will more than pay off in the future.

Btw, are you feeding them any nutes? If yes, then STOP. They are young and dont need it. Be patient. They are very young and they can be very mis leading in the beginning. As long as the temp, ph, and humidity is good right now, let em grow. If your new growth continues to be yellow, then you have a problem. Also dont put your lights up too high, You will stretch the hell out of them. Just my two...
