the point of the objective is to grow enough marijuana to smoke..i dont get it..mess with a AO for three months then burn up three months worth of grow in one afternoon...its cool to watch plants grow and everything..but i want to grow enough weed that i can smoke for more than a afternoon...i like to get high..and try and stay that way...a AG isnt going to do that for me...:neutral:but is cool if someone else wants to mess with one..

Its just a fad and we are too hard headed to see thru all the BS. We get so stuck in our decisions and visions that it clouds good judgement.
CFL's are another argument. Yes they work, I use them sometimes as well as flouros but we all know the real deal. Read the CFL's threads and everyother reply says "i'm going out to buy more today" or wal-mart has this new one etc... Shite brothers, spend the 200 usd up front and but the MH/HPS and be done with it for a loooooong time.
Nuff rambling, AG's are a novelty

RUI is supposed to be a place of learning, if you want to contribute thats fine, but lets not insult each other over grow methods. Yes people can get a decent harvest in an AG (personal use only), and yes they are overpriced... Sit down, smoke some weed, and get over it.

id have to have like 200 AG's to supply my marijuna needs..they are too small..how much does one of them things cost anyways?

i started this as a petition to get aerogardens their own forum. then the haters jumped in. it's just like the cfl/hps debate, one peep outta the cfl guys, and the hps people jump down their throats condemning what they're doing as "stupid" or gay or whatever.

There's plenty of reasons to use and encourage Aerogardens.

1) It's a great "gateway" grow setup. I think I would've been intimidated by the idea of setting up a hydroponic system from scratch until I started using the Aerogarden. The Aerogarden shows the basic principles of a hydroponic setup and is definitely inspiring my future grows.

2) We can use market forces in our favor - With our support, Aerogrow International will recognize that one of their target markets is the bud farmer. They can tailor future Aerogardens to meet our needs! Imagine a true aeroponic setup with an atomizer, a pH/pps display, proper lights and a 5+ gallon reservoir--sweet!! It's not gay! Some people just like to bash others.

They should say is something that can be helpful to others.

For example you can build this system and buy an HID light for the same price as an Aerogarden.

That dosen't make the Aerogarden bad in any way. It's just not the best solution for someone going through Chemo that needs lots of medicine, all the time.

It's great for people that are just learning but my patients could never hang with only that much bud. They would smoke it all in a week and then puke 12 times a day for the next 11 weeks.

What I dont want to see is a patient in real need of medicine thinking that they can get it from an Aerogarden. It's just not going to happen.

lol, why would they be puking 12 times a day? I haven't heard of anyone botching up an Aerogarden grow that badly. If you managed to make poisonous bud out of the Aerogarden then there's nothing stopping you from making those kinds of mistakes in a more sophisticated hydro setup.

yea man look up 3 posts where it says harvest a lb every 3 weeks...Its the absolute best tutorial on the site.
