"what we see and what we remember are the same." Whatever that means. Most academics regard this film as a pseudoscientific docudrama. The creator and directors are part of some cult called "Ramtha's school of enlightenment".

You cannot change the shape of water molecules with your thoughts.

Pseudoscientific docudrama. Yes! Exactly.

i really loved that movie when it came out. incites a lot of thinking, but the science is all dribble, when i paid attention years later i t started to occur to me that they make a lot of statements, dramatic life altering statements, and then move on to the next thing, never really explain anything in detail, never really answer any questions.

my only real problem with it is they don't draw clear lines between general scientific consensus and loose theories. it reeks of religion so i'm not surprised if the makers were from a cult.

like all religion it depends on a persons small mind being amazed by the promise of bigger things. that "even though you can not understand, we assure you there are very smart people working on it, and they say it's going well"

What the Bleep is definitely just an introduction to the ideas of quantum physics. By far the most important aspect of the movie is the bit about how our brains become chemically addicted to emotions. This is one of the underlying principles in Quantum Physics and has been heavily scientifically researched.

The whole realm of QP and all of its fringe gets sooooo deep and all encompassing that it is very easy to become overwhelmed with it and I think that that is a big turn off for a lot of people. There is a ton of interesting stuff out there that is associated with QP; All forms of meditation, remote viewing, astral projection and just all kinds of crazy stuff about reality and our mind.

Some QP theorists and other people that are into it do make some pretty bold claims which I do not necessarily endorse. hahaha

To read some really serious stuff about QP check out http://www-physics.lbl.gov/~stapp/stappfiles.html

To check out some crazy studies about the mind done by Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research at Princeton University go to http://www.princeton.edu/~pear/index.html

Oh yeah and to get a bit deeper I suggest you check out What the Bleep Do We Know...Further Down the Rabbit Hole

I saw this film and it is but one tip of the big iceberg.

I saw the secret a few years ago now also, and would certainly still stand by it.

As for the commonts of psuedo science, You just need to watch it again. It made sence to me.

Then again there is a 90 minute version and a 15 hour version. Sure it is very alien to a lot of people, but once you give it a chance it does make itself very apparant that you create a world through your own interpretation(amongst other things)

Give this stuff a serious chance for 2 months, swear you'll come back to this thread a bit differently

Just because it made sense to you does not mean it is not pseudoscience. What the bleep do we know is a failed attempt to intermix science with mysticism. It oversimplifies certain theories, and outright distorts others.

I'm not saying it Gods truth, but it is a damn sight better than any religion and any new age cult any day.

What is important about What the bleep is how it tells you that YOu are the center and creator of your reality. Without that standpoint any philisopical or spiritual endeavor is in the wrong direction.

It's not for everybody granted, but there are other ways other than QT to realise the same things.

Each to their own, everybodies path is different.

That's kinda how I seen it. It gave me some answers that I never had to things that happen all the time labled as miracles, majic, etc. Mostly just the simple stuff like laws of attraction and postive though.
