each plant like us will have resistance to different things, if you have more than 1 then surely your chances of some coming through are increased, have you researched for a strtain that can deal with low humidity, never ever checked mine.

theres nothing wrong with getting Big Bud as long as you can find a strain thats reasonably close to the original. Sensi Seed bank just put out a variation of big bud thats supposed to be the closest thing to the authentic big bud thats out right now. I guess they backcrossed the strain they already had with some really dank high yielding Afghani, and the ending result is a plant that is worthy of the name "BigBud". Check it out for yourself man. Dont go buying the first seeds you see that have the name BB man, do some reading, and check out what people have to say about a particular breeder's dope, and then make your choice. I understand your lookin for quantity, but you dont want the quality to suffer at the same time, do ya??

-just thought id put in my 2cents man :D

I grew BigBud outdoor this summer and was somewhat pleased. Heavy yielder and potent smell. Had to tie the branches together for support:-) The smoke wasn't all that bad but i've had much better. I had to chop the 1st week of october due to weather conditions. Keep in mind it grows tall but i put em outside the 1st week of may.

I grew big bud one time and it had great bag presentation and it was huge! It smelled like pine and tasted bitter. big bud was a cannabis cup winner in the 80s, but weed is a lot better now than it was then. Plus, I live in oregon and there are a lot of weed snobs out here.....

The BigBud that won the cup in the 80's is either an extinct strain or its EXTREMELY hard to find. It blew every other strain going by the name BigBud today, completely out of the water as far as potency goes. Even by today's standards -- but you also have to remember that the majority of the strains we grow and smoke today are a variation of one of the Original strains brought to the Us and to the dutch in the 60s-70s. The potency has gotten better, yes, but not by leaps and bounds - i would kill for access to the original Panama Red, or Aculpulco Gold.

Anyway, like i said, all of the strains that call themselves Big Bud today are either extremely diluted versions, or completely different versions altogether, that carry the name just because they are a high yielding plant. The only seedbank that has a good representation of what the OG Big Bud was like in its hayday, is the Sensi Seedbank. Massive yielder, without suffering in bag appeal, flavor, or potency. Check it out :D

big bud is a great producer, but its genes do indeed have alot of variation..
It never fails to give heavy production but some of the phenos of this plant absolutely suck..I've done 18 of these, and had 7 that were a less than mediocre smoke, 5 that were a mediocre to decent buzz, and 3 that were real nice.. the other 3 were males.
Everything i've read on other peoples grows of big bud seems the same, It always yields well, is a relatively easy grow, but there's strong genetic variation.
Its kind of a hit or miss strain.
