What Strain should I get?

Ok, so the seeds I got from a friend never germinated. I'm guessing because they were bad seeds or my stupidity at germination. Though i've done some more research on germinating and growing ganja in general and now was wondering what type of seeds would be best to order for a new grower. My "grow cabinet" is about 6ft tall and 5 ft wide. I was thinking about ordering Northern Lights x Big Bud from www.Nirvana-shop.com . Though I just wanted to get some feed back on weither this would be a good strain for a newbie like me or maybe try a different strain. Also if you could tell me what the high is like. i.e if it get's you stoned, buzzed, ect.

NLxBB is a good choice, I have grown that same nirvana strain myself. Good shit!! Tasty and gets you flyin.

Other good choices are: White Widow, Skunk #1, Northern Lights. all 3 are easy to grow and have good effect.

Ok well I am kinda stuck between weither I should get Northern Lights x Big Bud or White Widow . I know White Widow contains loads of THC though im mostly focused right now as a beginner on weither or not I would be able to have a mistake or two with the plant without killing it and less about it's potency or growing performance.

Get yourself some Dutch Passion "Passion #1" seeds. You can get a pack of five, "Feminized" for like fifty bucks from Attitude Seed Co. That's pretty cheap for feminized seeds and it will eliminate you having to worry about getting a male to start with. It has GREAT THC content(18%, if you believe those claims), very easy to grow, and it's a fast finisher. Pretty much everything a new grower would want. Good luck!

Heh if I had to cash for Fem'd ones I would spring for them, but im mostly hoping to be able to get 1 or 2 females and clone from one of them.

If I was gonna buy seeds I would stay away from hybrids.

For example if you buy yourself northern lights and big bud then you get the cross you wanted for free.

Just make some seed ;p

Mostly because I hear it is a great high and also my areas a pretty dry area filled with mostly just normal/crappy bud so maybe i'll be able to make alittle more when I tell people I got a Cannabis Cup winner growing... Though that's if I don't screw it up. Hope to be starting a journal soon

You'll be fine as long as You know how to "read" plants (WW grows like a regular weed plant). If you don't have them, get a digital PH and TDS meter. I grew WW from Nirvana and they came out super, just make sure you don't pick them to early though- get a 40X mag glass for ~10 bucks. I was growing Ice, and that came out great too and harvested ~2 weeks earlier than WW.

white widow (depending on breeder) can be a bitch to grow i personally would reccomend sensi skunk no1 fems cheap as chip finished in 6-7 weeks and will take your head off. most of the hybrids around today have got a bit of sk#1 in them somewhere

Yeah, I'm growing some White Widow right now. The only thing I've heard suggested consistently is that they are nutrient sensitive. So you'll want to take it easy on the nutes.

Yo man if you're going with Nirvana you should strongly consider their Jock Horror. Not just a Jack Herrer ripoff. I've grown a White Widow cross before and also am growing Nirvana Bubblicious along side my Jock right now. The Jock outshines them all. Take a look in my journal if you want. The smell from the Jock is sweet and tropical and amazing.

For Nirvana I recommend AK48 they grow very well and are pretty resiliant, I'm still in the middle of the grow so I can't say what the smoke is like but every smoke report I've seen has been very positive.

Dont get nirvana seeds get dutch passion or serious seeds you get what you pay for and Nirvana arnt even worth the 11.99

Lol everyone has an opinion and in mine they are definitly worth the price, and for someone like the OP they are perfect entry level seeds, why should he spend a ton of money on seeds when there is a lot of learning to be done.

Tell no one what your doing loose lips sink ships! I'm telling you keep your mouth shut! When it comes harvest time go smoke some with them and tell em if they want some you can get it for them say nothing more. delstele is absolutely correct do not tell anyone that your growing, if you want to brag do it on here where no one knows your name or where you live.

DrGreen why do you dislike Nirvana so much what sort of experience did you have with them that turn you off so much? As far as learning with expensive seeds, it would be a real hard on the mans wallet if he accidently killed 100$ worth of seeds.
