What size tent?

As the title says I recently purchased a 400w apollo system and just bought a 6" 440 CFM fan.. now my most important decision is the tent. I've researched and come to the conclusion that between 3x3 and 4x4 is best for this setup. But the only two tents I can find in my low budget is a 48x24x72 or a 32x32x62. I plan on getting a cool tube in the future and I plan on scrogging. I run a 18g dwc that's 25"w 18"l and 17"h so that kills a whole foot in height plus the light. But I want to add a plant but I fear a lack of room the taller tent. Any advice?

With what you've said, I would look at something like this - and then save up for the 2' extenders afterwards to add when/if you need the extra height.

Wait a month and get a bigger tent or get one of the smaller ones and upgrade later. I'd go with the 3x3 over the 4x2, you'll get a better footprint for your light. If you don't have a cooltube, good luck unless you have low ambient temps.
I have a 600 crammed in a 2x4x5.5ft tent and it sits just below 85 with an ambient temperature below 62.

honestly, both of the tents you are looking at are of similar nature. One is of course taller but you sacrifice depth, the second is shorter, but balanced in length and width. Out of the two I would go with the 32x32x62. But in all reality, you couldn't go wrong with either of them.

My setup is similar to yours, a 2x2.5x6'11" gorilla grow tent with an 8gal DWC UC setup. Those things are bulky, given the space we have to work with. I am doing one plant at the moment, and will judge if I would be able to do two plants in the future.

Which ever you have the space for so that it stays out of sight.

32x32 with a 400w HID sounds like a winning combination. Make sure you stay on top of your training regiment. A plant will easily outgrow even a 72" tent.

Personally I'd save up and get a good tent don't compromise. I went cheap and I'm paying for it now.

4x4 with a 1k and 6" fan works great.

Alright then it's settled lol. I got my 400w buy after a grow or two I'll go higher. The electric bill with a 1000w is what scares me lol. Btw the tent will be in a air conditioned room
