I put some plants into flower at about 9 inches tall hoping they would only get total of 2 foot . damn things grew 3.5 feet tall ! under 1000 watt hps hortilux . stupid . I am not used to growing plants small but in this situation was trying some thing different . usually veg them 1.5 foot tall to 2 feet . start them @ about 4 inches tall in flower next time . lol very good looking plants not what I was expecting but at least I know ill skip a month of veg for next time .

Depends on the situation, with one big plant I would fill out the horizontal space of the pot before switching but with many small ones probably after a few weeks veg with minimal topping and LST.

I veg'd my Big Buddha Blue Cheese to 10 inches (2.5 weeks.) It's now 37 inches at the end of week 7.
Much like the OP then. Mine generally stop adding height 3-4 weeks into flower. Did yours have nice flower growth at 21 days or did it come on slower?

This is exactly what's happening to me - I think it's a GOOD thing. I've refined my soil mix and gone up to a 600w light, the plants grow extremely fast in the first 3 weeks of flowering and become huge. I now have to use 5 gallon pots instead of 2.5 because the roots grow so quickly. Unless you don't like high yields…it's all good!

I am just lolly popping the plants taking all the bottoms off leaving the tops . its pointless though 1.5 foot of bare nothing with extra bamboo poles holding them up . in this room I can only have 1 light per x amount of plant . my other room it would have a lot of side lighting and the bottoms could produce . next time 6 inches veg and toped then start flower will see what happens . possible 2 foot tall . final
