I found 10 of these about 3 to 4 inches each and remembered if the gills bruise then it may be hallucinogenic. These are from the North Georgia mountains.

Again, the odds are low that you will eat a poisonous mushroom. But they are also low that you will find aagi mushroom.

Why do people think that every mushroom is either magic or poisonous.

Worse, for me, is wondering if you are getting high or dying.

I spotted them and saved them in case they were the good kind. I'm not an idiot and would never consume anything that I wasn't absolutely sure about lol. I figured to ask on here in case I found a keeper that you guys would recognize.

That thing just looks disgusting obviously not shrooms or even a gourmet mushroom most are edible but not a whole lot of gourmet mushrooms and probably less shrooms.

If you go to a cow farm closer to the Gulf Coast you can find some of the Gulf Coast strain and I'm sure there are other good ones in the area.

Best bet is to grow them yourself and outdoor plots are about the best in areas they grow naturally so you have plenty of potential.

Probably because parents are fear mongerers. Lol

My mother was always overly scared of mushrooms she even used to tell me shrooms make you trip because it's poisonous and actually believed that until I showed her you can't overdose.

Actually it looks like a boletus, one of the premiere edibles on the planet.

SOooo many people think you trip from being poisoned omg

I never could figure out the reasoning. I've had food poisoning before, nothing at all like tripping.

But I once had mushrooms that were canned. After I ate them, I considered the possibility that the canning process could have promoted botulism.

So I sat their and tripped on the fact that I might have poisoned myself.

The linger story was that I passed a black Light over some of them afterward and they glowed. I doubt if psilocybin could withstand 250 degree canning Temps.

But neither can acid. Years later I knew that someone had figured out a way to inject Lsd into cans of regular agaricus and hawk them as magic mushrooms.

Mind, this was long before cubes were domesticated and no one knew what they looked like. (well, no general psychedelic heads anyway).

Haven't heard of that one yet anyway I have a book on growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms and have watched some shit about wild gourmet mushrooms. Although I know there is a difference between gourmet and edible.

Only ones I have found on my own is chicken of the woods and chaga that I know for sure about.

I have these growing out of the horse shit in my pasture. I'm in south Carolina. Are these any of the species of psilocybin?IMG_20160817_133615620.jpg IMG_20160817_133615620.jpg IMG_20160817_133636249.jpg
