For floros, any massive amount of lumens blasting at 2700 degrees kelvin placed all around your plant will produce a lot of bud. getting over 60000 lumens is kinda hard with floros.. I'd go with HPS if you had the space, wallet, and time.

i do have the space wallet and time. but i was thinking about just waiting till these flower and use a hps throughout the whole grow

That's not an optimal idea. Get a switchable ballast and use MH and HPS. 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. The bulbs arent the exact kelvin but you can buy speacialty ones that are, but they're still prtty dang close.

It would be perfectly fine. If u like airy buds (depending how many lights u got). The more light u get, the more dense and chronic the buds get. But they will bud at any light really.

i suggest u use atleast 100w 2700k CFLs bulbs How many CFLs u got?

well 1 x 105W CFL is only gonna get you 5000 Lumens or there about... HPS runs at 2200K for the standard HPS lamps.... 6 x 54W/T5/High Output lamps is equivilant to 1 400W MH lamp 6 of those T5 HO lamps would put you right around 30000 Lumens... With any lamp though there is Lumen degradation HPS or Fluorescent so def recommend getting new lamps once a year or once every other year to maintain as many lumens as you can... 2700K would be key for flowering with Fluorescents just like justfkngrowit..... has said.

yeah HPS can definitely be used for vegging, but at that stage of a plants a higher color temperature is beeter 4100K-6500K.. but yeah i've done HPS for vegging and it did work just fine but when i veg under MH it seems to grow a little harder... of course preferences are different and some people just have their own ways of growing...

Nobody has ever been able to explain to my how this can't be better than the philosophy behind the Son Agro, i.e. having both vital spectrums simultaneously. You need each spectrum at a different time in the life cycle. Why wouldn't emulating that with a switchable ballast be best?

Not sure if i understand your question.... A Ballast has nothing to do with the spectrum of light, that is soley on the lamp..... If you have a lamp that will work on both an MH Ballast or HPS Ballast, such as the HPS Digital ballasts perhaps, then yes you can run one light for veg and flower on 1 ballast... but back to spectrum, that has nothing to do with a ballast... just sayin
