What kind of bug is this??

It could be thrips but some of the damage looks like leafminers. The photos don't magnify enough to see for sure what the insect is.

So hard to tell for sure

but that leaf damage does not look like leaf miners, more pics are needed but could be thrips, I normally spot them in the soil and in the drip tray, if they get breeding in the soil then they can be a bitch to get rid of

Please help I can not figure out what these guys are.. I have looked in our book and searched online I'm thinking thrips or leaf miners. I have included pics..might be hard to see in pic but also some black specs underneath plant leaf.
I did some research and from the picture in the book, they look like Leaf Miners. I have no personal experience with this bug;if that's what it is. I'll keep looking. I don't know if it's kosher or not to post copy-rite pics. However I did find the pick in Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Handbook on pg 461. You can Google it.

Don`t leaf miners leave more of a white trail or long scar along the leaf ?

Looks more like thrips, fungus gnats or spidermites to me but need a more pics really to narrow it down, never had leaf miners on my plants but the do normally scar up the leafs with long lines from what I`ve seen of them ?

Agreed. The long runs of discolored leaf in pic#1 outside would suggest leafminers but indoor that is not likely.
