what KC BRAIN SEED STRAIN?

I have grown their white KC and it was a very very good strain. Nice smoke with good stone. Out of 10 seeds 9 germed, one went male but the other 8 became excellent plants. They all had the same Pheno's so all in all i would grow them again. I would like to try their Leda Uno and KC 33 as it is a cup winner.

i just ordered 50 seeds 5 strains then i came on here and realize there were a lot of unhappy kc brains clients i hope i didnt waste my money i will make sure to write a detailed journal for all of the seeds i plant because my hopes were to find good genetics at a low price because this is my first true attempt to breed and didnt want to break the bank without a solid foundation of knowledge in breeding i really hope i didnt waste my time and money

is it possible that they have improved their strains over the last couple of years because i noticed that most of the people complaining had complaints around 2 years ago

I bought their KC36 and I am very impressed all 10 sprouted 7 females the 3 that survived (goddamn floods) are growing very well, consistent pheno's it seems over the last 2 years he's really stabilised his seed stock.

Looking to have a go at either kc33 or afghani, but will likely go with Dr. Greenthumbs. expensive quality and no bad reviews.

my favorite kc brains is the cyber crystal, the resin production lives up to its name.
this strain was really happy to grow, filled out the tent quite nicely. the high is a very strong body and cerebral buzz. feel no pain!

Wow must have a lot of inexperienced growers on here with germ rates that low lmao. I have grown kc northern lights a few years back had great germination rates as well as female to male ratio so I bet a lot of the people making comments are people with champaign taste and beer budgets that only buy the more exspensive pollen chucker seeds that are out there and swear there the best! Haha I have grow a bunch of differents strains and kc northern is up there with some of the best of them. Just my two sense also I have germanated seeds that a friend gave me that we're almost 5 years old very low germination rates but got some to pop to say the least. So for all you guys having germination issue I don't if you bought them from a half way decent seedbank wouldnt have or keep a breeders stock for more than a year or two. As a matter of fact my next order I'll order some kc brains and I'll do a journal once the grow is finished for all to see.

This is an old thread you've brought back.

To address it, I heard KC Brains had issues a few years ago with a bunch of barely viable seedstock that got sent out for commercial sale.

Don't know the truth here, but supposedly the germination rates were low because the ceeds were just no good. . .that's also part of the reason the ceeds were sold so cheaply. It may also be part of the reason they still are. . .his "brand" got damaged by this. Don't know if this problem was ever fixed or not.

Of course if you do the math, even $20/10 pack is no bargain if you can only extract 1-2 viable females out of the pack (let alone ZERO). . .you're effectively paying no less per ceed than many more expensive lines with 100% viability.

I'd love to see that, or ANY relatively recent grow report on anything from KC Brains for that matter.

You'd think with so many lines, at least a few of them have to be "sleepers" that are pretty good for the low cost.

Supposedly his mango line is pretty good, though I've never grown it (or anything else from him).

I disagree with the germination issues. Then again I see this thread is from a few years back. KC 36 is good that's for sure.

I laughed when I saw the name of this topic- answer is easy, none of them. Save your $ IMVHO.
Have you actually grown any of them? Seen any of them grown in person?

If not, how can you really say none are worth growing?

The guy has like 20 lines and has been in business for a LONG time. You have to figure just by sheer variety at least a few of these are either good or can put out good phenos. FWIW, in addition to his mango, I've seen some good reports on the KC36 and Mind Bender, though again, I've never tried any of these and can't speak from experience.

At roughly $20 a pack, if the ceeds are actually viable, its hard to go TOO wrong. Some people will pay the equivalent of $20 for ONE feminized ceed, and still end up with hermie issues, etc.

Can you expand a bit on your experiences with this breeder?

When did you grow these, what kind of germination rates did you see, and can you describe the final product?

Have you tried growing/smoking any of the KC Brains strains OTHER than the KC36?

Thanks.

Yes- years back (12 maybe?) I tried 4 packs b/c they were cheap and nothing was worth keeping from my best memory. I used to drive up to Toronto and buy beans at Sacred Seeds but that was before 9/11 which messed up my runs. I cant recall germ % but I remember not keeping anything from him and that was when I formed my opinion about KC but once again- it was years ago. I remember getting something like Mango, Cali Special, Crystal Limit and one other. Outta 4 packs, something should have been good IMVHO.

Since this old thread was brought back to life, I will share my experience with KCs Cristal Limit (Only strain I bought from him). About 4-5 years ago I bought these beans and I also had a poor germ rate 5/10. Of those 3 were female and all 3 were different (Explained in my breeding thread). Out of the 3, one was pretty good and one had amazing pink hairs (Profile picture, with some better shots in my album). I did an F2 cross with the one male (other male started throwing balls in veg so he was culled). The resulting beans have a better germ rate and are more uniform (current grow in sig). I can't say to much for potency as of yet, but soon. The only downfall to some of his gear is the lineage on some is all unknown or kept secret. I personally want to know the lineage now, as before I really didn't care. You never know, someone may find a hidden gem in some of his lines or maybe not. The same can hold true for all other breeders gear out there. Peace!!

i`m running now : kc 36, mango and leda uno. 100% rate of germination , each pack of ten popped !

I started them on 20/4 , and now they are all at 2 meters high, some of them turned out to be real monsters.

I`m growing in guerilla style. It is my first grow.

Do not worry , the prices are low because he is an anti capitalist, but the quality is there !!

Make your bet, you wont lose !
