Hello,

I am interested in what YOU think would be the ideal, utopian, Legalized Canada.

Whoever is in charge, whichever political platform - I would like to know what YOU think would be the best way to go about legalization.

I promise - I WILL NOT PERSONALLY ATTACK YOU.

You will NOT be ostracized here in THIS thread by ME for being new, or inexperienced, or having a positive view of the MMPR, or MMAR, or anything.

I just want to know your opinion.

There are NO WRONG opinions...it's just all what you THINK.

I'm interested.

Feel free to respond, and don't be afraid. I am NOT here to make you feel bad. I'm just curious.

THANKS!

i suppose absolutely no/zero, restrictions, period! no paperwork/license required...
Sounds lovely!

More likely, they will treat the recreational portion of it - as they would alcohol. It'll probably be regulated sales and different rules per province.

So BC is OBVI going to have the BEST rules...I am jealous of them.

But you CAN make your own alcohol - you're just are not allowed to sell it, unless you go through the red tape.

I WANT MMJ to be a prescription covered by insurance companies THE SAME as other prescribed drugs.

I want doctors to be taught about the benefits of MMJ.

I want everyone to have the ability to grow their own, but ESPECIALLY MMJ patients. Sick people should NOT be forced to pay for the fancy, highly government-taxed weeds. They should be able to get it cheaper - BECAUSE IT IS NECESSARY FOR THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.
MMJ and recreational marijuana need to be seperated. I am NOT the same as my friends that like to get high.

Although - I DO like to get high! hahahah

And herein lies the problem.

People that don't know any better - think WEED = STONERS.

WEED = STONERS like ALCOHOL = DRUNKS ...there is absolutely no reason for people in this day and age not to 'know any better'. The information is at everyone finger tips so willful ignorance is not an excuse. It is however the CONservative party line.
My perfect legalized utopia? I differ from most in that I am a bit of a loner and do not like anyone interfering in my life and the government tops that list. I kinda live with the philosophy that so long as your actions are not negatively impacting someone else, you should be free to do what you want. In reality, what I see legalization looking like in Canada would not be unlike the rules around alcohol...only more fucked-up as it will be run federally. I can live with regulations that attempt to limit access by minors, but everyone should be allowed to grow for personal use or to share with friends. I want a cannabis plant growing beside your tomatoes to be 'normal'. And then I want pardons and apologies for everyone who has had their lives ruined by this ridiculous prohibition.

So true! If it does become legalized - they HAVE to release people from jail.

How would you even go about doing that? Everyone? How many people are in jail for possesion and drug charges?

Shit - that's just millions of dollars in lawyers fees right there.

Quick - someone fnd a team of Lawyers that want to work pro bono on this as soon as the Conservatives get booted out.

Fuck - I only have one lawyer buddy, and he is more in debt than I am! He's too expensive...

pretty basic:
i want a legalized system to be just that; legal. no restrictions..
legal to smoke
legal to grow
legal to make oil/hash whatever you want.
no different than any other fruit/veggie/flower you can grow on your property.
and no number limits either (because in a true legal system, prices should plummet. so a 20 acre yard full of plants would just be moronic and a waste of time)

let the big guys have their multi million set ups and be like cigs (we're gonna need that tax cash with so many smokers quitting now anyway ;-) )
legal - letting everyone go about (their) live's

legal means legal.. i don't know why marijuana laws get twisted and we accept faux legality.
if it doesn't include home cultivation, it's not legal. (and that's not an IMO, that's fact)
