what is this?! white bubbly slime?

I'm in my second week of DWC and this stuff has shown up... I've been usuing Great White Shark to prevent brown slime but this stuff looks different from brown slime Ive seen before.... what to do?!?!?!

what is your water temp? is your bucket light proof?

yeah black buckets no clue to the water temp.... whats a good temp, my stuff should be around room temp

needs to be 60-65f. any warmer and you are asking for slime.

what are some easy ways to keep temps down? dry ice around the buckets? I put in really cold water every time i change the water.... should I change my water out again now that this has persisted?

freeze some bottles of water and toss one in. get a temp meter and check it often.

best thing is to get a water chiller.

yes, change your water, maybe throw some peroxide in there. that craps nasty and contagious, and hard to get rid of. also try to get some superthrive.

also why aint great white doing nuffin to remedy this problem?

never used it, couldn't say. i can say hygrozyme sucks and makes it worse... i don't use that bs... just clean cool water, superthrive and nutes.
