What is the "legalization" we all agree on?

Free people don't ask permission to grow anything. If you must recieve "permission" or license" to own your own body you are at least partially enslaved.

When we do not aggress against another or their property we should be free to do anything that pleases us. Anything less is an acceptance that force may be used against us.

Don't help forge the chains that bind you.

I had thought about a permit system for growing.

Say that I wish to have a garden. If I have say 4 plants or less and am a legal adult then no permit is required.
If I wish to grow more say grow out 20 or so for breeding purposes then I would need a permit.

I thought this would be the regulation we could benefit from.

I thought that 1. paying for a permit generates revenue for the State and 2. permits help law enforcement deal with policing illegal gardens. 3. The desire to stay legal keeps us more honest in how we deal with Cannabis.

Taxes on Home Grown will be hard to collect. Sales Tax is the domain of commerce and if there was Permit, Medical and Sales Tax That would cover it I'd think.

I don't know how a permit system will work with the Feds but anything we do is in the face of the Feds and it has to be if we want change.

What do you all think of the permit suggestion?
I like the idea of cannabis generating revenue in any form and this permit idea is great. However, personally, I believe it's just a plant. I don't need a permit to grow a grapevine in my yard even though i could ferment that grape into a regulated substance. I don't like the idea of getting permission from the government to do something that should be our natural, god-given (if you're so inclined) right.

On the other hand, any laws enacted favoring the use of cannabis, I will happily, and respectfully abide by. This prohibition thing is just dumb.

I enjoy the Alaska method, though I would like to see the possession limits more liberalized. Current rules: no more than 25 plants, possess no more than 4 ozs useable product @ 1 time, all must be on your private property.

I would prefer to up the possession limit substantially. The 4 oz limit makes growing and harvesting a perpetual cycle. It would also be nice to transport without worry of a $50 citation.
I agree, 4 ounces of usable material with a 25 plant ceiling is very restrictive and somewhat nonsensical. A single plant could put you past your usable limit very easily. Decrease the number of plants in favor of at least a half pound. Other medicines are sold in 3-month supplies. 8 ounces would last 8 weeks for me.

right now california has the unwritten rule of 99 plants.. i think that is pretty fair for one individual or household.. what if your plan is to make hash or tincture? then more than a few plants would be required..

You can grow an obscene amount of bud with 99 plants if done the right way.

yes, but why bother if it is legal and you can't get $1200/lb for it? then who would it harm? like brewing beer at home - 200 gallons is a pretty large amount.

Well I agree.. A test grow outdoors of the Strain I made called Tiki-Jo yielded 4 pounds of trimmed buds and was an 8 &1/2 foot tall plant.

I need to get these feminized seeds out there for others to try.

I want to see it legal for all of us to use, grow and trade cannabis in California.

Advice: If you're still interested in breeding, stay away from the feminized seeds. They'll destabilize your genetics and they pollute the gene pool. If you're just growing with them that's cool, just don't breed with em!

I made those feminized seeds. There is nothing wrong with my feminized seeds.

Perhaps you have had some bad luck. I can understand that.
