I see some seeds/strains that are described as being a high quality "F1 Hybrid", what does that mean? What is a F1 Hybrid? I know what a hybrid is, I just want to know what the F1 means.

Thanks

i was told by a friend in a dispensary that F1 is named that because it was a federally grown strain
He is either an imbecile or a liar. Either way he has no business working at a dispensary, unless his job there is only to sweep out the place at night.

there are a few awesome sigz in this thread... and somebody most def needs to capture the "federal grown" unit for posterity.

100% classic.

So if F1 Hybrids are "first generation" hybrids, is that something to be concerned about? Are first generation hybrids stable? It would seem to me that there could be inherent problems with a first generation.

So now I know what F1 means, what are everyone's thoughts on F1 Strains? Are they worth growing? Are there problems associated with them? Are they difficult? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Generally f1's are pretty uniformed therefore there should be less different phenos. When you get into f2's and beyond is where all the phenos start to open up. How do I make that dudes statement a signature quote?
