What is Extra Strength Fertilizer

I recently purchased a pricey bottle of name brand top shelf fetilizer and it says "Extra Strenght" What does that mean as opposed to other nutes. Is it just more concentrated or is it somehow different than regular strength ferts? I figure 90% of the bottle is inert (H2O) anyway so wtf?

Or is it that it just sounds better to the uninitiated maybe encouraging folks to over feed. If a table spoon per gallon is good than two must be better. :leaf:

Is there a "regular" of the same brand? If so, the extra-strength kind probably just has more nutrients than its "regular" counterpart...

like regular tylenol is 325mg...extra strength tylenol is 500mg :D

You tell me massah. Its fox farms tiger bloom. Its 2-8-4 and I don't know if they make say a 2-6-3 or something. If I eat two 10 mg percs it doesn't make them extra strength it just means I ate two instead of one. I just think it's a selling point with no merit. They should just be making the right blooming product to begin with for their target audience. The mere fact its bugging me means i need to smoke a bowl. Its like extra strength draino... I don't buy regular strength for little turds. You always grab the extra strength. LOL.

So no one can tell me what "extra strength" fertilizer means. Would there ever be a time when you would use regular strength over extra strength or would you just dilute it or use it in a more concentrated form. I don't mean to sound bitter LOL but there must be sumpin other than just trying to sell more product?
I gots to know.........

Extra strength would logically make me think higher concentration, these things are 99% water anyway. In regards to percocets, I beleive the 10mg would actually be considered the extra strength and is quite delicious, and 5mg is more like what would be considered standard strength which would be my non recreational pain releiving dose :p. The reason they aren't sold like that is because; I agree with you on this point, the idea of "extra strength" is just selling point. For tylenol specifically, it is available in smaller however 500mg is probably what the legal max they can sell over the counter is, so its branded "extra."

If you compare the extra strength nute to the regular, is the dosing the same or less? Either could be true, I think they try to balance their nute schedule with getting you to use it up and by the idea of keeping you from burning your plants and getting pissed about the nutes and not buying them again.

Food my friend. If a five is for medicinal use and a ten is for recreation then what would a pink fifteen be? I think the only difference between regular and extra strength is the labeling. Strictly for selling purposes.

FF doesn't make extra strength nutrients when it comes to that Trio. I believe it is just a selling point. That nutrient has 2 counterparts also IDK if you got those too but I believe they are meant to be used together. They have those 3 (Tiger Bloom, Grow Big, big Bloom I believe is the last). They also make the 3 bloom enhancers for flowering which are Open Sesame, cha ching, Beastie Bloomz. Never used them but most of the time nutrient lines are meant to be used together. If you just are planning on using Tiger bloom you may run into problems. IDK from experience but it is true with certain nutrient lines. Tiger Bloom isn't just a 1 part nutrient bottle.

Ievolution. It says extra strength on the bottle of tiger bloom but i don't think it means anything of value it is just appealing to what buyers think they want. I did see the trio for sale as a package but this was sold as a stand alone. I sure hope your wrong about needing to use all three. Just would not make sense that mj required "things" that other plants did not require. A 10-10-10 fertilizer with micronutrients is pretty much a 10-10-10 fertilizer. Could it be that selling a "trio" is also just selling. I did not realize that there were so many weed specific ferts out there. It must be a HUGE market in legal grow area's. We're singing koombaya and they are heading for the bank lol. I am hoping your wrong about needing all three. That would suck three weeks into flowering my little cfl grow.

You're most likely just missing some nutritional pieces. Your plant won't die or anything.

Like what shrubs? If it's not in the tiger bloom or on my soil I don't need it. I gotta believe that at this point. I sure hope you're wrong. My shrubs are not that fussy so why should my weed be?? It's just not the most complicated put it you can grow

Your shrubs are in the ground while your weed is in a pot I believe(could be wrong about this statement). I know the line I use it is Coco A and Coco B. I don't know what would happen if I only used 1 and don't really want to find out. I think some of these companies could put it all in 1 bottle but they figure it would be better if they split it up and made the buyer buy 2 or 3 bottles. I just looked up the fox farm feed chart. It says Tiger bloom is for use during flowering and not for veg. Grow Big and Big bloom are used during veg. IDK but here is a link for soil

IDK it may work it may not I can't speak from experience. Good luck though I sure hope it works for you. My mag shows 1 quart of the other two you may need is only 40 bucks and that may be well worth your money.
