what if

What if the electricity go's out for 2-3 days while your in the middle of a closet grow. Just wondering if the plants can go without light that long and ventilation. It's a scrog grow so, I can't just pick them up and put them outside in the sun,I wish I could. Just looking for some ideas.

you can put them near a window or buy a generator but if its only 2-3 days it won't kill them but they may be stunted if there in veg you will have more problem I'd switch them to flower as soon as power comes back they don't use co2 at night anyway so ventalation aint a problem just stunted plants

In the first place - when the electricy goes out around here (which is seldom) it's usually only for a few brief moments; I'm talking about a few seconds or a few minutes. Any longer than that means some bonehead took out a power pole or something, which means a few hours (very rare); up a couple of days (only happened once that I can think of). What I'm getting at is - Are you just being paranoid?

And secondly, it may be a real hassle - but if you have to move it you will find a way. You gotta do what you gotta do!

I have to take down my setup and hide my plants when we have visitors (the kind that crash for a couple of days, rather than an hour or two). I've done this many times now, and while the plants don't like the darkness very much, they also always survive. Don't know what impact this has on yield, but quality was very good with most of those plants.

oh yeah, when I was moving, I had my plants in the dark for almost two weeks, and while none of them were flowering at the time, they all survived except one clone. Flowered fine afterwards too...

Shit a real grower would never sacrifice or put in jeopardy a grow just for some weekend visitors to crash. That's just plain stupid. They make hotels for a reason ;)

Ive had outdoor plants with nothing but shit weather all day here in florida during hurricanes.

They'll think its a cloudy day.
