3000k and lower is flowering spectrum. You CAN veg under it but your plant will grow slowly and taller because it isnt getting the proper light spectrum. I use both 2700 and 5500 to simulate both ends of the color spectrum.

Most people will only use blue spectrum in veg and red during flower. I've heard of some people supplementing the spectrum with a little blue spectrum for side lighting to improve overall light coverage. Makes it so the plant doesnt have to work so hard growing upwards that you lose light coverage to the lower branches. But im trying it with CFL's to see if I can improve the quality of CFL grown buds.

sounds good man i plan to have tons of cfl's in time for flowering. well i have 9 now but only 5-6(to HIgh to remenber:)) being used, what i have totol tho is 3 (new) 27watters daylight. and 5 13watters 3000k range and 1 20watter in the 3000k range also

my setup now is the 3 new daylight cfls
and 2-3 13watters can remenber off hand at the moment witch are the 3000k range. what do you think of this for a veg stage setup. i know you cant see it but just how it sounds.(i could get a pic tho)

currently I am half red half blue spectrums 6000lumens restricted to 1 cubic foot currently. I'd like to switch to 1/3rd red 2/3rds blue and 9000 lumens per cubic foot for my next veg. Planning on 2/3rds red 1/3rd blue for flowering at over 10000 lumens in 2 cubic feet (once i drop the pots into a lower chamber)

thats round what im pushing. like 6000lumens right now with thos bulbs and have about 2-3000 lumens in 3000krange waiting so if i add thos really i should be fine to flower then right.

You'll be fine for flowering, but you really should find anything in a cooler color spectrum to help your babies grow. You have a ton of red light, but you don't have much blue and white light.

yea im not using all my red light i just got 3 daylight bulbs today and found out my others were not the right kelvins.:-| but thats fine cuz now i know what to use and have some light for flowering.

my grow space right now is 3 27watter daylights(new today) and 2 13watt (3000k range) this is for my veg stage.

im adding a 20watt and the other 3 13watts for flowering but im wanting more of thos 27watters (hope to get them soon).
