What factors make a female plant produce seeds?

I would appreciate some help. I have researched and I have been told 3 reasons why my outdoor grown girls produced seeds. #1. my female seed was exposed to a male. (that didn't happen.) #2. My females experienced a shock due to weather..(possible, temp here can be 95 one day and snow the next) #3. The seeds I bought were bad genetics, and not tested prior to sale. (I bought 3 Wicked Widows, grew one each year, all 3 produced seeds-go figure). So, could all 3 reasons be right, or am I being lied too?

Sounds like genetics but also pollen can travel half a mile easy with wind. this is what a herm looks like(aka chicks with dicks).

All three of your assumptions are probably not a factor. Female flowers only produce seeds when they are pollinated. So either your plant spit out some pollen sacks, and pollinated itself, or there was some random pollen flying by. With the popularity of hemp fields being grown in your state, it very well could be hemp pollen.

No matter the source of the pollen, give the seeds to some birds.

Probably genetics, happens. Try to keep up on plucking if possible, had this happen on an indoor grow I just harvested 22 oz from 4 plants, and it smokes incredibly well. Don't trash just due to seeds is my opinion, especially if she produces great resin
