OK, here is my latest goofup. I never had used peet pellets before, and did not realize that you need to remove the netting around the pellet when you transplant. I tried to take it off when I found out, and caught most of them before the roots were trying to grow through the net. A couple of them had some roots growing through and in the process of taking the net off, the roots got torn off. My question is, have I killed or stunted those plants, or do you think they will recover and keep growing.

Your plants should be fine. They might turn yellow but thatll go away once they realize its just a flesh wound. Give it 2 days and continue watering and such as normal.

I don't remove the netting and the roots go through it no problem. Why did you think you had to remove it?

Thanks for the help. I read somewhere that you had to get rid of the net or it would make the plants rootbound. I guess I should just go back to the old "put the seed in the dirt and hope for the best" method.

Yeah the net will not cause them to be root bound the roots grow right through it no problems :peace: I like jiffy pellets myself and i have never had a root bound plant from leaving the netting on.

Thanks fo all the help. Thank goodness all of my babies seem to have survived my messing with them and are starting to really take off now. Hope to start flowering them in 3 or 4 weeks.
