tell them what you use daily, both prescribed drugs (percs) and mmj. most will not deny you, most of the doctors willing to sign are doctors that believe this should be the first medicine tried before chemical compound drugs are introduced, don't worry about it and be honest.

I'm very much in the same boat as you... although I've had my licence for about 9 years now. You are right.. you gotta loose those percs... that shit will kill ya, it is a drug meant for short term use. Depending on how long you've been on it you may face some withdrawal, stick with it.. you can kick them. As for me.. like I said, I have VERY similar conditions and I am a 5 gram/day patient. Good luck :)

Max is 5grams per day from those types of doctors i believe. If you want/need more you need to go to a specialist to get them to up your dosage. I wouldn't really worry to much, the doctors have no risk as far as i know so as long as some other doctor said you have a legitimate problem and they get their money and you get what you want.

A specialist doesn't have to sign off on anything related to MMJ I thought? I thought you only needed to see a specialist to confirm diagnosis and your family doctor and yourself determine the dosage? Is this incorrect?

No, a specialist is not required to sign anything, having the document with the diagnosis is required tho for any doctor to sign a form. Dosage is determined between yourself and the Doctor.

Not true. Your doctor will acess your needs, so don't be honest and tell him you SMOKE anything. Smoking is the main reason these doctors don't sign, they just don't know. I would figure out what you think you would need to ingest a day in capsules and edibles. Be stern and stand your ground, tell him that you have made your decision to get off the pharma drugs and try some natural products. Most likely you will be denied, if not great, tell him what you want. If he still will not ask him to give you his reason in writing because you want to contact HC. Its not worth going to war over, there are clinics also online that can accomodate you too.
