slot car racing, remember when some store always had a big track set up?
Yup , i was heavily into the 1/32 scale slots , had my own control unit so i didnt have to rent the stores controllers with shitty contacts.

Shit i had 4 or 5 cars where i had serious cash invested in hot brushes & high output motors , had me a tackle box full of spare tires with different grip & extra parts & different bodies for each car , me & my wife raced together until the hobby shop shut down their track .

The little HO cars arent the same & nowhere near as much fun to race , im glad you reminded me of that .

My uncle has built a few complete tracks. Fully landscaped with trees, grass, pit stop etc. Similar to this. Maybe larger.

Usually has one in his garage whenever I'm there on holidays. Guess he has to settle given drag racing down broadway isn't acceptable now days. Has a half dozen really collectible slot cars.
Couple small malls with hobby shops around the area still have tracks and leagues.

Man I'm so jealous , I've all ways wanted my own track & to do a rail road at the same time but it won't ever happen .

All our hobby shops dumped their tracks in the late 80's & everything went private .

I miss never having to think about if my bad heart is going to keep beating through the night so I can wake up in the morning.
This is a new experience. And its not easy to get used to.
