What do you make of this?

yes.. i had seen it before, but i watched again.. my mother is in treatment for cancer, but that particular treatment is not going to be available until cannabis is legal and we can grow enough to make the oil.... i cannot afford a pound of pot for any reason at the black market price..

i believe it - i hear all the time from reliable sources that pot stops tumor growth - they don't say how significantly.. maybe because they cant do scientific studies... we should really ban research on more subjects, no? no more space exploration - kids might learn about atheism and condoms... kiss-ass

here are some good hemp facts - http://www.globalideasbank.org/site/bank/idea.php?ideaId=1814

"All domesticated animals, farm animals and poultry could be fed a nearly complete diet with just hemp seed extract protein and fat. Hemp seed cake was one of the world's principal animal feeds until this century. With hemp seed in their diet, birds will live 10-20% longer."

we have been killing our own bird population by keeping wild hemp from growing - it used to be something like 30% of a north american bird's diet... :weed:

i was thinking the other day - tobacco was in direct competition with pot/hemp - maybe even if weed were restricted - people would just load up their pipes with hemp.. so besides logging, alcohol, animal feed, petrol and medicine - hemp could be a direct competition to the cigarette industry and therefore must be squashed out..

i would really like a pot/hemp mixture to puff on instead of my stupid cigs..

oh and my mom is doing ok - her hair is falling out though...

Glad your mums doing OK. I think theres something about ice helping with the hair loss, maybe during Keemo, Im not sure, might be worth looking into.

I stopped smoking cigs myself which led me to smoking weed. I haven't had a cig in about 18 months, tried a few puffs a couple of times and didn't even like it anymore. You could try smoking passion flower or something similar if you wanted a replacement for tobacco. I think there's a few tobacco replacements on the market, So thinking about it Im not sure its the big tobac companies. Having said that it may be a 'cure' for smoking cigs! worked for me. Hang on... tabaco is crazy addictive (worse than heroin) I guess thats why the alternatives haven't taken off.

this video is awfully depressing.. i don't think i will watch the whole thing - clearly, these are reasons that weed is still illegal - but, as i'll bet you know, it was not the original reason - that was the conspiracy of William Randolf Hearst, Lammont Dupont, Henry J. Anslinger

my mom told me at one point that she has to put her fingertips in ice during the treatment to keep the nails from falling off... she has another session tomorrow morning...

a thing i just learned is that hemp is not always the best plant to use for industrial purposes because indica/sativa actually take less water to grow - so it was not just hemp that was competing for the paper and chemical industry..

I didn't manage the entire film either. Crazy stuff.

I didn't know about the link with Logging. I remember seeing something a while ago about how it was banned during some war or something as a political weapon. Basically as it was used for sails, rope etc in the war ships of the time the banning of production had a direct effect on the military. I think this backfired and the USA ended up importing hemp at great cost from abroad. I can't remember exactly where I saw/read it but this is quite a nice brief history if you haven't alreaday seen it: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4284666027250613526&ei=iVcVSuP_GoKG-QaapODBAw&q=weed&hl=en&client=safari

wow this first vid is great so far! bow strings.. bandaging wounds with pot leaves.. hemp popcorn?!? ahh - cool scenes of Moroccan hash making.. :-) funny how these european hemp growers have to guarantee it to be unsatisfactory.. heh..

well - that was a fun film.. i want some Sativa washing powder!

To be honest Im not really up on computers n' stuff. Safari seems to work fine. Out of interest what do you find so much better that Safari, not that I want to start a debate. Glad you had fun with the sound.

I use Opera. IMO it is hands-down the best browser in existence.

i have heard lots of complaints about safari - Opera has been measured to be by far the fastest browser at java - but, i use Firefox because Opera looks a little too stripped down for me..
Firefox has been the best browser ever for me.. it is stable and fast.. two things IE is not...

lol.. my cat is clawing a hole in my wall.. he's already through the wallpaper.. little shit...
