What do you get out of growing?

Besides bud.

For me, it's hard to explain - I just really enjoy the whole process. I get kind of an odd satisfaction out of checking on my plants, learning about growing, buying all the shit, building my grow room, watering the plants, recording measurements, temps, rH - the anticipation of harvest. The whole process from start to finish is a blast and I don't know how I went this long without realizing how much fun growing can be - I might even try some veggies and shit between harvests just for the hell of it. It's kind of like once I got a pet - I don't know how I ever got by without it.

Also, knowing that as each day passes, I'm one day closer to having what will probably be some of the highest quality bud I've ever smoked (since most of the "bud" in this area is pure garbage) is pretty satisfying too.

Growing for me is just a passion bound one with my soul, i feel i was born to do it....

i live off my harvests and it promotes everything i beleive in. love respect and dedication are all things i give to my plants and in return they give me my favorite substance on earth that gives me happiness and money and a place to live and good times with friends and my entire existence. i am a farmer but not a corn farmer or a tomato or potato farmer

i am a spiritual farmer a healer of minds a promoter of peace an advocate of understanding and one happy mother fucker :) none of this would be possible without the miracle plant that is marijuana and i do so love her

I don't know if you guys have ever thought about this...but I have. Growing weed is a huge learning experience - especially your first grow. It's also a great test of your problem solving abilities. I mean, your first grow is basically addressing one problem followed by another - as soon as you get yours temps right, your humidity is out of whack - once you got your humidity under control, all of a sudden you got nute burn, bugs, pH isn't right, you name it - not to mention the extra added challenge of keeping the whole operation a secret.

Sometimes I wish I could use the skills I've picked up/honed through growing, in a job interview or a resume - in my view, these are legitimate life skills.

first plant i ever grew was cannabis, worked out almost too well.

so i thought i'd try to grow some "normal" plants. turns out i'm useless at it.

Lol. I've read that even though growing cannabis is a lot of work - it's still relatively easy compared to some other plants out there.

I support regional herb. Keep it local and support your local herb farmers. No more industrialized herb production and distribution.

Oh yea.... and decriminalize herb.
