What does the ideal bag of weed look like for you...?

Size, smell, color and price...?

there's never anything of stupid high quality so it's a very easy scale for what's grown around here.

price, irrelevant, you get what you ask for
smell, irrelevant, it's not cured and whatnot propperly so they all smell the same on the whole
colour, irrelevant, colours can mean pretty much anything from my experience

the only thing that is a determining factor for the stuff is it's consistency. you squeeze and it's solid, you know it's generally gonna be a good smoke. if it's airy, it's generally a bit of a let down and a bit of a crap deal (a lot of dealers like the idea of physical size rather than weights which sucks as half of them buy cheapass airy weed)

i guess in the UK there isn't really such a thing as bag appeal though. 95% of times there's the 1 bag that you can't choose from, so you get whatever your bloke has, wheras in the US you might be talking a dispensary where you're spoilt for choice.

i agree with that, but when there's good weed on the market as opposed to bad weed i usually judge it by how dry it is (therefore how big the bag is) how good/strong it smells, and sometimes how solid the bud is but not always.
colour doesn't tend to make a difference in my book either

Around here all that matters is trichomes and either a really light green with alot of hairs or purp. If it has any of those quality people buy 25/g. because its such a big change compared to the tons and tons of brick we get in Nc... People at my work actually compare brickweed and think hard pressed brick is on par with really good mids.

This has inspired me to grow lol. Also I love a good sativa and you cant find it anywhere around here unless you get lucky. Also all the dealers call dank fire and they are all hurr wut? I dont deal with names I deal with fire son! (Ive never met a person in my area that knows what sativa/ indica is...)

Life in cali ahhhhhhhh

Color is only relevent depending on strain, smell hell yeah it plays a part, and overall trichrome texture as well color has a huge importance on the indication of good bud.

I have spent a long time to get to know strains at this point but then again I am spoiled. I do not see airy bud, around here that shit gets cooked up into dank edibles.

The ideal bag for me smells from 5-10 feet away a soon a they bust it out preferably fruity, is nice and dense but isn't a rock and is not to dry and doesnt look like it has been handled much.

I agree with almost all of you in general.I'm a fan of Skunk in it's many forms.I too like to feel a bag that's solid.I don't like flat buds. I like them round and chewy. When I break it up,I don't want it to turn to dust.Color is nice but really just an asthetic. For me,at the end of the day,all I have to do to know if it's herb I want,is stick my nose in the bag.Around here(Michigan)Fine bud goes for around 60.00 a 1/4.Regs for 30-40 a 1/4. I'll always pay a premium for a better experience.

i think the hip-hop world or just pop culture in genral plays a big role in what people like...

Granddy Purp(purple weed) 4-5k/lb
Other hi-grades 1-3k/lb
mid & lower 400-900/lb
hash 5-15klb
:leaf:etc...................

Few people are spot on, in the UK its one buds way or the highway & hip hop culture plays a maffis role in what people want BUT its also opening their eyes to "that looks small..." "muscle is heavier than fat mate" is what i tell them. Their dropping the dependance on physical look & more on colours, smell & trichs altho 90% of my town have never heard of trichromes or the names; indica/sativa, let alone what their properties are lol.

Some people even ask if its sugar weed hoping for a yes...
like WTF is this what you've become custom to?!??... Sometimes it feels like one day it won't sell without candarel on it lol (being a grower I'd never have the audacity to do that to such already pretty flowers :)) . Let it dry/cure enough the appeal sorts itself out.
