What do you consider first sign of flower?

I’ve read so many contradicting things online about first sign of flower and same thing happens when asking people I personally know so I thought I’d try on here… 1st pic or 2nd

IMHO, pic 1 preflower, pic 2 flower.

Yep!

pic one is preflower, also just the plant showing sexual maturity, it is best to wait to see this on your plant before you flip lights if indoors.

second pic is a bud, that plant has begun to flower.
