Hey riu I'm using 5gal Lowes buckets and running a dwc with 6 plants. I'm having problems with the pH staying stable and now no rdwc is better. I know I need another 5gal bucket for the res can some of you guys help the system get switched to a rdwc please!

My system is different but I use a water pump from res to further bucket to keep water moving

Yeah 1" bulkheads is what you want with 1 inch inside diameter hose to connect em... if you are only running 1 bucket get a real small water pump... I have a 250 gph pump for 4 eight gallon buckets with a res... so your looking for like a way smaller pump

the pump simply isnt 'submerged' you instead connect it via hose to the inlet from the res bucket. (Have you considered a larger rubbermaid tote rather than another 5g bucket for the res? seems youll top off that res constantly) Peek at a few of the How-To and DIY posts for RDWC builds in this forum, theres some nice ones, and they point out the 'dont forget this! I did, and it sucks!' type shit, lol.
