What deficiency is this?!?!? (YELLOWING LEAVES WITH BROWN EDGES)

About two weeks into flower the leaves started yellowing. I know some yellowing is normal, however this is quite excessive!

My first guess is that its a Mg def...maybe needs some cal-mag

Has anyone had this problem< any help would be appreciated

soil ph is around 6.2
i started flowering with about 1/4 nutes
room temps are 78
humidity is about 45%
this is a northern lights x AK-47 cross

Potash deficiency "k" along with some "p" , raise up the nutes but only progresivelly so not to burn the plant which is used into less nutes

I know you said you STARTED flowering @ 1/4 nutes, but where are you now? Please disregard what bonjo78 said above. This IS NOT a potassium or phosphorus defeciency. If you listen to this, he will only help you burn your plants further. You are currently experiencing a very bad nutrient burn. It is my feeling that you have been feeding at stronger levels than what your plants can absorb and they are starting to buildup nutrient toxicities which is now causing lockout & burn.

You want to FLUSH

It helps if you have a TDS meter to test PPM

If you do, begin by testing the PPM of your regular water used (0-100ppm)

Now start flushing your plants with this water, until water begins to runoff from the bottom of the pots

Gather this runoff & test it with your TDS meter. This is the PPM of your soil. If it's over 750 in veg, too high, 900-1000 in flower, too high

Continue this water flush for about 5-15 min. The color of the runoff will help guide you as to how long you should run water through. Pending how well your pots drain, you may have to turn the water on/off for a while and therefore take longer. The runoff should start as dark, brown, amber colored, moving to a more clear, lightly tinted runoff once it is well flushed and close to neutral.

If you have a TDS meter, again, gather runoff at the end of flush and see where you are at. If you are close to the PPM of the water used for the flush in the beginning, then you have successfully completed the flush.

From there, make sure you don't water much over the next few days or until water/soil moisture is back to par. You don't want to overwater your plants and risk drowning.

ALSO, your soil ph being @ 6.2 is too low. You want to aim for 6.8-7.0 range. This is ideal. Try raising your ph. Even adding some lime, hydrated lime, dolamite will help as a soil buffer to neutralize soil & bring you back to the 7.0 level. This should help, as well.

Hope this all helps homes and that your plants recover! Glad I could catch this before someone who's just trying to quickly comment and rack up posts on here for a higher status led you in the wrong direction that'd end up in you hurting your plants more. Some people just don't know any better.

This is an obvious burn. I'm sorry to say if you cannot see this and easily identify this, you must have a lot to learn about growing.

This is actually my first outdoor/greenhouse grow, my years of success is from many, many indoor grows. Both soil, hydro, & aeroponic. I just so happened to take my hobby outdoors this year as a test, and well ... You can see the success

Would you rather trust someone like me who can produce buds like this, with no burns ...

Or would you rather trust someone who wrote this to me in response to an email I sent him when I called him out on his shit ...

bonjo78 "as about plants and photos , if i go on google and copy a huge badass crop will u lick my balls then ?"

Basically, you're talking to an immature 12 yr old who doesn't know how to grow, and has to google pics of plants to show people. Pretty sad if you ask me. So, best of luck, be careful who you trust on this site!

ok....they started turning yellow, about two weeks into flower, so ya i bumped up the nutes to about 700-800 ppm, i figured the were getting under nuted since shes been sitting in the fox farm soil for over a month now....im def. gonna start with a flush right now and hopefully we'll see some positive results...i"l let everyone know how it goes, thanx!!!

If the water only flush does not cure within a few days (don't forget to try and correct your PH, too, needs to be boosted to 6.8-7.0 level), then it very well could end up being defeciency, but again, it just does not look like it with the burnt tips and the further yellowing/curling upward moving in from the burnt tips. While a defeciency can eat at the leaves like that, I've never seen it have that effect on the leaf. Whereas, I've seen plenty of burns and had my share as a beginner, that has all the visuals pointing to the burn diagnosis, and requiring a water only flush.

Again, if you don't see an improvement over 3 days or so then go along with the nute boost

What EXACTLY is your feeding schedule? I would like to analyize every single item you have fed, how many mls/gal or ppm equivelent you bring each nute to within your mix that comprises of 700-800 ppm. What was it BEFORE you spiked it to 700-800ppm? When exactly did you do the spike? Have you already started to flush? How often do you feed? Detailed schedule please.

All this will help greatly
