What consistency to choose

In the Pacific northwest it has become hard to unload the excess flower in the shops.
Considering getting a closed loop and vac setup and converting the leftovers to oil in hopes the shops will be interested as it appears to be the trend

I'm just wondering what consistency to go with for mass appeal. wax, shatter, etc..

I have considered e liquid but just don't want to do anything without getting some advice first.

I know I don't want to get any more fancy than bho n vac

Any input is appreciated.

Everyone likes the shatter, its usually top dollar. If you pay money and design a cool package you can sell trash and the consumers will think it is gold because of the packaging.... but the hard shit is whats making bucks at least in my area.

IMO if you blow it and just leave it sitting a week or so it should come out perfect, but I have never used a vacuum before to make extracts

I'd say make both. People like variety wax n crumble are easier to work with n can be sprinkled on bowls joints blunts etc. And shatter seems to be the prefrence for big spenders, pot snobs.
Closed loop is a good investment

Haha. You are jeopardizing your health smoking unpurged bho.

Yeah, a lot has changed in the last decade here, hasn't it?

Consider that with legalization, comes regulation, and licensed dispensaries will only be able to buy from licensed extractors, so my suggestion is to plan to use equipment that is, or can be certified.

The market is maturing here from coveting hard gem quality shatter, with more attention paid to aroma and flavor. An associate who extracts for others, packages dispensary orders in 1 gram envelopes of purdy snap and pull, to goopy concentrates, that are highly aromatic and tasty.

The one gram samples are rolled thin, and folded between unbleached parchment, which is in a sealed envelope. The thin layer makes it easier to awe and amaze the customer with color and clarity.

Extracts from fresh cut material are drawing more attention, though they are typically goopy and not as purdy, they make up for it in aroma, flavor, and effects. An exception is an SO Cal associate who is winning cups with his also gaugus pull and snap fresh extractions, but keeping his process a closely guarded secret.

Lots of bulk material being dry sieved, or extracted as bubble, and the kif then extracted using a solvent.

Older darker material is starting to be turned into Clear, using short path distillation or a molecular still. Most of that appears to be going into carts.

Good info, I think the future is step up or step off.

Sucks for the people who are unwilling to change but exciting for the market as far as quality is concerned.
