what causes this?

My plants always do this. Is it a deficiency. im in ffof with advance nutes A&B. thanx in advance. jreven

looks like just the nodes swelling. How does the leaves look?

my older fan leaves are pretty nasty. all new growth looks nice n green.

It's like a callus. The stems need support for the buds and they form bumps and rings along the base.

Can u post pic of leaves? Cause i dont think you have any problem with the node swelling.
