What can you clone in an EZ cloner?

Can apple trees or fruit trees be cloned?

My goal is to fill my property this year with about 500 plants for eating,

I know nothing about this stuff, will fruit need to be watered or do they have a tap root?

Im told grapes take 3 years to grow but id like to get 200 started.

Can you clone grapes?

grape vines clone fantastically, especially from older more established plants. You have to support the grape vine a-la-SCRoG. I used an old box spring that I cut all of the cloth off of as a screen on the side of my shed. It does take a few years to start producing but now it produces so much I give them away.

Apple trees on the other hand have to from really young plants to start. The rule of thumb is, that the more 'woody' a plant is, the harder it is to clone but that's where grafting comes in.

anything can be cloned, some is harder then others. they are actually starting to clone giant Sequoyas to help keep them around and they will plant them around the world.
and all plants will need watered at some point, just cuz they have a tap root does not mean they wont need water at some point in the hot summer. sounds like you have a cool plan though

wow, never heard of the Sequoia's being cloned for preservation but that's great, wonder if they're cloning the actual General Sherman sequoia? Hardwood is tough to clone I wonder what they're success rate is?

I went to the hydro store and they said you can clone ~Anything~ thats not "Woody"
Example take a young supple green cutting of ~Anything~

Think im going to start cloning all the local pines and work my way up to apples and oranges.

they are takin small cuts of non woody parts from the cali sequoia forests to plant them around the world. it is a government job so im sure they could even clone a huge one if they wanted, if they can clone animals and oregonisms why not a tree?

Wow that is really cool! I just noticed I have center areas of unused great lighting so i am seriously considering putting in vegetables, I also heard Garlic helps keep the bugs away! so definatly going to give that a try! xD

Almost any plant can be cloned you just have to use the correct methods. Air Layering is a great time honored method that works.
