OK I have some of this super purple Black Raptor X Black Raptor X Pinkleberry. It smells of fried chicken and chocolate and tastes of chocolate and hash. Phenomenal.
That is interesting ime the white family holds some of this as does some of the chems the doctor used to have a roast chicken crisps pheno for example its a weird one but it pops up in a few genepools afghani based stuff can throw some weird stuff as well but its rarer to hear of stuff like this with more modern stuff tho seems its mostly all cake/dessert stuff folk want these days idk why variety is the spice of life as they say

I haven't seen brothers grimm on here I don't think. I really don't want to pay 150 for a pack of seeds but maybe I have to however Brothers Grimm has these tester packs for 25 bucks for a 9 pack of fem seeds. Anyone ever grow their stuff?
I love brothers grimm testers. I got a couple of packs for $12.50 each 9 seed pack. I grew 3 genius juice plants and BOY WERE THEY FIRE! Here is a pic of the nugs from those plants. This is $200 genetics in a $12.50 package. Never will I spend over $50 for a pack of seeds when you can get genetics like this for the low-low. Strong rigorous growth in veg and flower.

Simple, it's not about premium seeds, it's about technique and starting point.
Want the best smoke ? Buy fems.
Want to hunt and fool around and maybe hit something special ? Buy regs.

Understand, when you cross 2 elite clones (fem) you have a x10 hitting a gem in those seeds.
The gem will be restricted to the elite genetics it came from, and finding something new might be hard, but if you smoked a clone before you loved, and want to get as close as possible to hitting a keeper in that genetic range, this is your best bet.

Regs are difficult, a male don't say nothing about the effects a fem Is gonna have, so it's pure luck.
Sure, it will give it's character to the following f1s, but more in terms of growth, structure, etc

So again, fems are better to finding good smoke fast, regs I feel should be more breeders oriented as finding a gem there for the normal hobby grower is hard and won't justify the hassle of dealing with males and high clone numbers.

F1 is a F1 no matter if its fem or reg. Are you saying F1 is better than S1 for pheno hunting?

I think you may find a lot of people who disagree with that overly confident statement.

My version would be "if you want simple, stick with your fems. If you want to be a grower, grow regs."
Not about simple or hard my friend, it's about the end product, which will always be better if its coming from 2 elite clones (fems) or even 1 elite clone selfed, I'm not saying the first generation of this s1 will be killer by all means, but you have a better chance of hitting a quality product from that seed versus a seed that started from a random cross of elite x male.

Fems and regs grow the same so I don't get your point ? Are fems child play and regs are the new atomic bomb ? Lol don't be ridiculous.
The only difference is males will be more time consuming growing just to trash them eventually.
And still, you get your mixed elite x male with them, so you made the gene pool even bigger, and not in a good way.

F1 is a F1 no matter if its fem or reg. Are you saying F1 is better than S1 for pheno hunting?
Sure it don't matter, wait, it does... Why ?
Cuz it all depends from what you made them
F1 from a fem to fem cross or F1 from a fem x male cross will be different very much in terms of what's hiding there, I claim that if you make fems from 2 elite clones you will have a better chance of hitting a quality smoke then regs.
If it was an option to make reg seeds from 2 fems then we wouldn't have this discussion as they will be same quality like their fems.

Now you tell me, if I take a killer fem clone, and self it to another killer fem clone, or I take a killer fem clone and x it to a male, where you think your chances to hit a better smoking product will be ?

True and a true actual f1 is getting rarer these days most are hybrid x hybrid and called a f1 even tho it wont display the vigour and stuff just for explanations sake you canny beat a real f1 for vigour as for regs vs fems id say they both good only regs edges it cos more genes cos males and its better for preservation too

Selfing means you hit a clone with its own pollen to make S1. You cant self a clone to another clone

I run regs and fems, I don't see any difference in growing them, but I do see a difference when I'm getting an elite seed (which came from verified elite clones) or a seed that's been made with a male, somehow the fem always hit, the regs you need to hunt.
It's pure logic, mix 2 of the same traits then you'll have those traits and even better, mix 1 with traits and one without, you need to hunt.

You can self a clone, then pollinate a different strain clone with that pollen, that's how fem cross are made bro...

Edit - sorry, I mean reverse a clone not self.

Because I mention self and reverse I get mixed up but I'm talking about reversing an elite to other elite or self an elite to itself yes.

I'm not also, sorry for the mix up in my words but now you understand what I mean
F1 is an F1 no matter 2 fems or fem x male what matters is the traits and genetic material they carry, I think 1 or 2 elite cuts will have more chance of hitting.

What about seeds that come from an elite female that fucked an elite male?

That is a good question.
Cause at the end, whats the definition for elite male ?
You don't smoke it, you don't taste it.
We have to remember we are smokers, the fem is what's most important for what we look for,
If you hit an elite male with avg fem
Or hit elite fem with avg male
Where are the most chances to get something good ?

My best smoke came from fems most of the time, which leads me to think that the regs I have are simply diluted because instead of 1 killer gene pool, I have now a mixed elite fem and some sort of "elite" male (again what is the def for this ? In terms of smoke) pool, at the end of it it's like bingo, but in bingo the numbers have no meaning, here we have traits bingo, outta 100 numbers (traits) we want those 100 to be killer traits only, so no matter what number comes up you win each time.
And that's why every seed was a winner in old breeders gear.

If the "elite" has a fault, which they all do, then a male can be used to fix the fault. You could self another fem elite and use that pollen to try to fix it also, the only difference will be male plants in the progeny. There is so much diversity you could self the cutting and probably find a plant without the fault. Everyone needs to accept that what we call F1,S1 etc. would be laughed at by any corn, cotton, etc breeder. The diversity is good, just go through lots of seeds and make sure you keep cuttings, and you will find elites ,or freaks as I call them, in fems and regulars.
