what are some strains that aren't so finicky with the nutes?

My two cents:
Most things that are 60%+ afghani or other pure indica will be less sensitive to feeding than those that are 60%+ sativa. Things that are at least 50%+ haze, thai, or other tropical sativa genetics will be more sensitive to nutrients than most other strains. Sub tropical African sativas are generally less sensitive to nutrients than their tropical counterparts, but still more sensitive than their indica cousins. The Dutch pretty much developed their skunks to be high yielding and not fickle to feedings, but they are often lacking on quality when compared to more finicky North American strains. Ultimately, if being nute hungry is what you're after, I think I would look for something that was maybe 50% afghani, northern lights, or afghani/skunk, crossed with something more powerful; like either a strong haze or jack herer if you like sativas, or a bubba or other california broadleaf kush clone if you like indicas. Almost every breeder in the business has a cross or two that would fit those criteria, so I'd just find one you like. I'd maybe stay away from crosses with blueberry, OGs, the original Sour Diesel or Rez's IBL, or the Chem91 or Chem D clones.
