3 weeks in I notice this nice crystal-like stuff appearing on the leaves... accompanied by a nice aroma.

What exactly is this? I thought THC wasn't produced until well into flowering. If I can see this with the naked eye now, in two months this baby is going to be white, no?

Just curious... My first grow! Thanks :)

Those are not thc crystals. Its just your leaf. If u magnify it, its just tiny leaf fibers. Almost hair like... forgot the name for it... nothing to worry about...

What he said. These are little hairs, they are everywhere on your plant, not just the leaves.

in this link http://puu.sh/1FNPI is a photo i took wich show these hairs everywhere on the main stem.
and here http://puu.sh/1Hp9p are cut tops, there's so many hairs that it almost look like white fur.

hard to tell by your leaf pic or my monitor is lousy ( most likely) but i have these completely covering my blue dream mother veg leaves.
they look like millions of very bright tiny diamonds shining all the colors of the rainbow. i believe this is on only certain strains as I have never
seen anything like this on 15+ other strains in multiples I grew out. Fascinating and
looks like this is akin only to elite (rare pheno) very potent plants.
one at a time far and few between.

I've always noticed the hairs along stems. So I was a little surprised to see these on my leaves. I was told to expect a potent plant, but I really won't know until the end. Odor control is going to be hell for me... This is a stealth grow where I shouldn't be growing. Wish me luck!

looks healthy to doesn"t seem to be and signs of heat or light stress or any dificensies just a good ol happy leaf
So very happy to hear this. I haven't touched the soil, except for throwing some more on top when I found it was compacting (exposing the stem more.) So perhaps that was enough to replace any nutes that have been eaten up since seeding.

Note to fellow Newb growers: Do yourself a favor and please do not take any of "bmeat's" growing advice..... For the sake of your plants just please dont do it.... Today he posted growing information from a interior design website..

theyre called trichomes
No, it is called LEAF PUBESCENCE or leaf hairs. They are on leaves, not buds. Google it. Read. Read the OP's original question. Try to comprehend the difference between pubescence and trichomes.

Once you begin to grow some pubes you will understand, they are little hairs.
