what am I doing??

Ok so I have been growing my own meds for a year or so now... Got my strain (afghan kush) and nutes/soil (GO full line)(pro mix hp) from my good friend and just kept buying the same and running it as recommended. . Now I'm seeing this Shit is not organic at all and ppl are making bad ass super soils and ditching the bottles? I would love to get schooled on this. And also I would love to toss this line if I can do better and have pure organic smoke. So any recipes for a awesome super soil that doesn't take a Damn scientists to batch up would be bad ass. I grow 24 at a time just for a ruff estimate on how much soil I use. 5 gal pots thanks in advance

With organic soil mix you want a good amount of quality Earth Worm Castings (EWC) and good quality compost. These two things are the base of your soil more or less. Research what's good in your area, if you can find a worm farm locally getting right from them you'll have nice fresh castings. Or make a worm bin, if you have the space you can save a bunch of money and have fresh castings always at the ready, and have a disposal system for a lot of stuff :)

Then you want some amendments, like Bone/blood/kelp/alfalfa/crab/etc.etc.etc. Figure out what you want to use, you don't have to use it all, but you want to keep a nice balance of NPK. Use 3 cups of amendments per cubic foot of soil, you can go a little heavier or a little lighter as you start to get a feel for it, but that's a good place to start. I suggest going light on your first mix, you can always add more nutrients via top dress/tea's, over abundance of nutrients can cause a problem that can be hard to recover from in an organic soil mix.

Some sort of rock dust is key, azomite/volcanic/etc.etc. there's lots of stuff out there you can use.

A lot of folks swear by this guys books :

Teaming with Microbes and Teaming with Nutrients, 2 different books. I still haven't read them :) I need to get on that myself.

After you've spent all that time reading about how to build your soil, which really isn't that complicated, start reading on teas. http://www.microbeorganics.com/#What_is_Compost_Tea_ If you have a problem with your soil after it's made Teas are a great way to fix a lot of issues. That's the probably the best no bullshit info site for teas there is.

Hope this helps.

There's lots of mixes around here from folks, but it's really best if you do the research and get a general understanding of the why. It's really not that complicated :) I kind of wing it to be 100% honest :)
