Hey there, after reading numerous posts and making some of my own regarding ODOR control i personally believe my best bet is to get a Air purifier and change the filters that come with it, with a carbon filter. now i know a carbon filter in a exhaust and intake pipes would be best but i have a small closet in my room in which im growing and i am unable to put in a ventilation system for personal reasons. My question is what air purifier would work best thats within a 20-80 dollar price range. I've seen a few at walmart like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Honeywell-HEPAClean-Compact-Air-Purifier/16563555#Q&A+Exchange
but from what i hear they are very loud which would not work to well since i am growing in my bedroom. do you guys think this would work? and if so what purifiers do you suggest that are moderately quiet and are within that price range? i saw this idea on a vid by hygrohybrid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJyv_s-vCA8

Please Help Me! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

additional information closet is 6x2F and 7 feet tall. 6 plants: 3 afghan kush ryder, 1 whitewidow auto, 1 trans siberian, 1 silver kush (all smellys strains!)

Look into ONA as well, maybe even an ozone generator. Ozone is a tad tricky seeing as it can be harmful in large quantities over extended periods of time. Take a look at the odor control sticky too if you haven't already. They have plenty of great advice for smell control.
Heres a cheap DIY ONA bucket
Heres a cheap Ozone generator that plugs into the wall
Options are out there for ya

Thanks for responding sneaky. i hear ONA buckets just cover up the smell not eliminate it, apparently they dont smell to good either but i dont know for sure since i haven't tried them. Ozone generators i hear can make u sick and since its in my room i dont want to risk it. What are your experiences with ONA?

Personally I haven't gone the ONA route for covering a grow smell, but I have used it before. It works well to kill smells in the air, but I would recommend that it is used a supplement to a filtered fan. One can't beat a well built carbon filter as far as efficiency goes.

yeah :/ i wish i could put a nice carbon filter in but i just cant put in any vents in my closet. Thats why i was trying to go down the Air purifier route. Thank you for your suggestions SNEAKYp

Yea, you could prob get away with a DIY type of deal with the air purifier if you had a shit ton of carbon filter replacement sheets and less plants, but with 6 stinky plants idk man. Good luck.

How did this DIY air purifier work for you? You describe that exact setup I am attempting now.. Can't making holes in the ceiling or walls..

I have a medium room air Purifier by Holmes that I purchased from Walmart. It uses 2 true HEPA filters and also 2 carbon filters. The filters need to be replaced wayyyy more often than the recommended time based on my application, but it is helpful. My reason for purchasing the air purifier was to keep mold spores out of the air in my grow room, but it is effective in getting rid of odors as long as I change the filters regularly, every month or 2 months.

This is the one I have

But they do have a large room version
