What affects the sex of a plant???

Ive been reading these forums and i confused!!!! Are there factors or things i should do to grow a female plant???

dont stress the plant in any ways and treat it right porper stuff and dont over do it with love and you should get a nice female ,but down fal depents on genetics and etc

genetics are the most constant predominant variable in plant sex.

stress and reverting usually causes hermies, its the oposit of what you do right bro its logical . stress is the main factor of everything in a plants life
