~!What 2 Do With Purple Kush Seeds???!They Just Cracked!!!!!Wait Or Not??Authentic!!

Ok..so I had a couple seeds right....then I put them in a cup of warm tap water for like half-a day...then I placed em' in between two moist paper towels,on top of my tv for warmth...I just check on em' and one of them cracked,and you can already see the white tap root comin' out..my question is should I transplant right now and hit it with a CFL??

Or should I wait for the taproot to fully come out,and THEN transplant?
I always see those pics with the tap root fully out and still in the paper towels..so?...

i like leaving them in the towels till their a little bit bigger it helps them break the dirt faster

i like to wait till the tap root is about 1/4in in length, but you don't need to hit them with any light untill the seed shell falls of and the first two set of leaves opens up.

I would let them come out more before planting, it helps the roots grow faster and break the surface sooner.

i wait untill the root it about .... [____] that big then i put it in some moist soil.

usually dont put a light on it for about 2-3 days b/c the plant will pop up b/c its searching for light...

Excellent news man!!BTW I just check on em' again,and ANOTHER one cracked!!!So,I guess Ima leave em' fro the day,then just transplant tommorow...I need helpful tips tho...

1.Ima put them in small containers,filled with pet smart coir,cheap top soil,and Miracle Grow Perlite(is M.G Perlite good??)

2.How deep should I plant the seeds,like half a inch??

3.Should I mix some spent coffee grounds with the soil,or bloodmeal??Or just leave it without extra ammendments?

Any other helpful methods/tips for me??This is my first official grow!!Ima veg them under 4 CFL's 24hours a day....I dont have nutrients though,I might use bloodmeal tea,what cheap fertilizers do you guys suggest?urine?Coffee...bloodmeal?

if you can avoid mg soil at all cost and if you do have to use it never, and i do mean never add nutes you will kill your babies. as for the depth of the planting, just barley cover the seed under the soil 1/2in may be too much. , no coffie grounds. bloodmeal is only to be added if you know whats in your mix, ex. you make your own.

yeah and put them about a 1/2 to a 1/4 inch down in the soil. the deeper the longer its gunna take for them to sprout up.

I have some MG Moisture Control,but Im not gonna use it..only the MG Perlite,and some coir mized with cheap Home Depot top soil...Ima nuke the mix in the micro to kill any harmful molds and pestz....

But Tom,this is a matter if fierce debate...I dont think theres an actual definitve answer,some say 24 hours is best cus the plants use all the photosynthesis possible,while others say 18/6 is the natural way,and lets the plants rest and grow in the dark!!

Ima have them under 24 hours for like a week,then switch to 18/6..the main problem with this is I dont have a timer,so Ima have to do it manually....which sux!!

yeah the perlite is.

just not thhier growing mediums.

I use 24/0 to start the seedlings off and then after a few days go to 18/6. I use miracle grow moisture control with a lot of mg perlite in it. It is pretty light and aerated and i use it from seedling to harvest without any problems. Just dont feed for the first few weeks or you will have a burn problem.

How sure are you guys that the perlite is good?And Tom,how well do your plants grow?Fast,nice and green??

I might just use MG moisture Control....and not feed for like 3 weeks..sounds good?Or will it hartm my plants??Should I just use cheap top soil/perlite/coir??

I have two plants almost five weeks into flowering. They are both 15-16 inches tall with 8 heads. I topped them and flowered them early. I am using 4x 23 watt 2700K CFL, 2x 42 watt 2700K CFL, and a 70 watt hps. They grew pretty quickly and they still all have nice dark green leaves. They were from bagseed but they both seem to be sativa due to long skinny leaves.

I gotta agree with Tom on the 18/6 light schedule. It has always worked well for me. Not to mention it saves on electricty. Which doesnt matter in your case but wait till you get 600w HPS and MH and your bill jumps up $40 a month.

As far as mediums and nutes go, heres what I use

Yeah it seems to be a good mix so far, Im using it for the first time on my current grow. I got mine from htgsupply.com, thats where I buy all my stuff because there arent any shops locally. They ship pretty fast too and the customer service is great. I had a big order recently and was missing my 50' roll of black/white poly, called them, they apologized and said they would ship it the next day.
