Hey all, does anyone no the laws agaisnt 'serious offences' of marijuana cultivation in Western Australia, or even all of Australia??

I no that two non hydroponic plants are only dealt with by a small fine and first time offenders get just a warning, but what happens after two plants? Im growing soil so i dont care much for the laws agaisnt hydro, but what happens if say im caught with twenty plants growing in soil?

Thanx in advance for any replies and + rep for all who can help, peace:leaf:

They dont have to prove it was or wasnt for personal use, anything more than two plants is classed as intent to sell and is prosecuted through the courts. Im just wondering what the difference between getting caught growing 3-10 plants is as apsosed to 10-20, i apreciate the help but its not what i was asking for

i live in sa and here you can have one non-hydroponic plant and only get a $150 fine for it, but im fair sure if you have up to 10 you only really get a fine aswell, ive heard of a fair few people who had more and only ended up with a fine of max 2 grand..i dont think the laws in wa are too strict either so im guessing anything under 10 shouldn't get you in any serious trouble

Yeh the laws in WA have been de-criminalised since 2003, growing two non hydoponic plants is a $200 fine and im sure anything more is classed as a serious offence and u can get done with intent to sell and supply, ive looked all over google and cant find anything on serious offences, the only info is on the cultivation of up to two plants. Maybe i should go walk into the cop shop and ask wat happens if they busted me with 20 plants:/

i think 20 plants would be a serious offence, and i know they say anything over 2 is a serious offence too like here anything over 1 is supposed to be intent to sell but i know people who have been busted with more then that and they just cop a bigger fine..if its over 10 here theres criminal proceedings but generally you'll still only end up with a hefty fine. Maybe ringing the cops, off a public phone to be 100% safe, and just asking would be your best bet to know, otherwise you could sift through the actual legislation like i did but it takes forever..

Man go to ozstoners, biggest ozzie cannabis forum where many people can give you good answers on this; why do Aussies end up on these forums instead?

http://www.austlii.com/au/legis/wa/bill/clrb2009188/

The Barnett government repealed the former Labor governements "soft" cannabis laws. Whereas in 2004 they changed it so that 2 plants per household would not be a criminal offence (so long as they were't hydro), it now is referred straight to the courts. Any posession under 30g resulted in a caution and/or referral to an education seminar on cannabis, but now it's been changed to a mandatory seminar referral for 10g or less.

The irony is that Labor supported this bill in the upperhouse to get it passed. Fucking cunts.... Not just conservatives are dicks when it comes cannabis policy.
