Well water?

Hey everyone, can anyone who has experience with using well water help me out?

My friend is starting his grow out on his property and all he gets is streight well water out there. My guess would be it would work great for his plants, but has anyone ever used it?

Most def tell your friend to buy a reverse osmosis filter. Some well water really sucks bad. Some have too much, iron, calcium, ect.... I personally wouldn't use it if I were him.

I assume you are not talking hydro? If for soil I would run some tests and then consider it. For hydro you want RO.

Correct its just for watering hes growing in soil. Ok thanks guys im suprised I figured it would have worked great, ahh im still such a noob heh.

i have used well water for a sog going on two years, in soil of course, just pay attention to your ph, it can fluctuate.

been using well water for around 5 years now in soil and have had hardly any problems the only one is watch the ph cause it changes threw the seasons
but it all depends on how the water is, my brother's well water is horriable I would not wash a car with it
so it all depends where he is at and the condition of the well

Does your well water stink if not its good quility i use well water for my plant and its dank as hell .!!!!!!!!!!!

i just posted my grow its well water all the way take a look at it then say well water sux!! i posted it in grow room set ups (hows it look????) im not having any problems at all growing GREAT!!! please take a look then go from there bro!!

I've used well water with great results. It's impossible to say exactly whats in your Well water but above city water it should be chemical free and have some microorganism/minerals that a lot of waters don't have.

Alright thanks guys, ill let my friend know to just test it the water at his place doesnt smell but it tastes strange. I guess im just use to city water.

But you should seriously have it analyzed - all it takes is to have an old gas station with underground tanks upstream of you to give you some really nasty sheit. Plus the piece of mind with a clean report is priceless.

I have well water and no problems at all.
