i grew some autos from cream of the crop seeds called cash crop got a lil over an oz a plant and its super dank smoke
Doing my first run on Auto's got a pair of russian rocket fuel's from short stuff, 18-24" n they startin to flower, but im battling a "did I over or under water?" issue on one.... If they work well, I've got one of them cash crop seeds you speak of, n it would go next... with a pineapple express auto (g13 labs) the RRF's I selected, others were freebies.

Here's my best auto, a freebie Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 Auto. 100 days since sprout, grown 50 days inside under cfls then 50 days outdoors lat summer in Alaska. Got what I thought was a whopping 5 ounces. It was decent not great smoke, almost odorless medium density nugs. For outdoor AK I thought it rocked, but its not what I reach for.SensiSeedsSkunk#1AutoDay100.jpg

My question for you would be ... Would you recommend an auto for a fellow Alaskan who has always wanted to try an out door run ? Or would us tell me to just save my time and stick mto y indoor garden

Whether its worth running an outside grow in AK is situation-dependent, I believe. Autos keep getting better, and I've had very good smoke off a couple diff strains, but they're still not as good as photos... most of the time.

For the a casual puffer who only puffs a few ounces/year and would love to get away from buying unsourced weed, then I'd say hell yes grow autos outside under the sun- timed very specifically to the summer sun. Just pop a few seeds in April and get them under a few CFLs, by June they're flowering and ready to out under the 20+ hours of sunlight. If the ganja finishes too leafy or the pheno sucks then turn it into dry ice hash. Or better yet start a bunch and cull the duds.

Runts are a reality with auto grows, at least in my experience, maybe 1 in 3 or 4 of what I've grown have turned out to be undesirable Ruderalis-looking phenos. So if you've a good indoor setup and don't want the hassle/security issues of an outdoor grow, or if you've a very high bud standard, then I'd say no, not worth it.

I do think autos will keep getting better and better tho, and could really allow a lot people (especially those growing their own veggies in remote villages!) to get out of buying/transporting weed, now that we're semi-re-legalized...!

Lastly, I said I finished the Skunk#1 "outdoors" and I don't mean to mislead so technically it flowered in an unheated poly hoophouse to keep it dry. I lived in Seward then, with 68" of rain annually, so keeping it dry was key.

I never ran autos before. Never had much interest in them. But I had one as a freebie from another purchase. This thing was called Carmel Cream or something from Sweet Seeds.
So, I crack it for the hell of it and throw it in my veg tent. The little bitch grows to about 5 inches high and starts to flower ! No shit, the thing stops growing and starts flowering right then and there.
I't looks like it will pull in maybe a joint in harvest :)
Fuk 'em autos.
i dont think your little rant, if you could call it that is a reflection on what autos can yeald but more a reflection on your growing capabilities...when it comes to autos if grown well and the choice of seed is right they are a good choice and i might add considerably shorter from seed to yeald than ordinary grows, so to conclude good yealds if grown well shorter to grow than ordinary plants and they even start the flowering process off themselves!!! show's what you know about autos mate...-)

Hehehe... I think maybe I've grown a plant or three before. Now I did make it clear that I had never ran an auto before. And of course I am presented here with these lovely pics of auto success but still...If your sensitive to ones opinion of your autos...They still suck my azz..

Don't worry cob. After my photos are done , I'm doing an all auto run . I want to find out and not base my opinion on 1 plant or just because . But hey opinion is opinion. I'll change yours in late April :bigjoint::bigjoint:bongsmilie:fire:
