Yeah, it does work. My first grow and its a week and half into flowering, now i gotta give it miracle grow bloom boost. Any comments welcome.
Your plants look FANTASTIC! Good work..

And, when they look that good, that's their little way of saying "I don't need anything right now.. thanks, though!"

If you're in MG potting mix with the "3-month feed" in it, I personally wouldn't add anything to it. Why risk burning your plants when you've gotten them this far?

so I noticed this thread hasn't seen any action in 5 months, but there are MG growers that are having success, and I am one of them.
I'm on day 36 of a single lowryder grow & lookin good so far.
I'm using MG organic soil...
MG all purpose plant food (first 2 weeks)
MG bloom booster(week 3-harvest)

I feed once a week now that she is in full bloom and she loves it.

Journal is in my sig...
Hears some pics(day 36 total....day 16 flower)

Mine grow in Scott's Potting Soil, so is it MG since they bought 'em? Anyway - I use MG All Purpose Plant Food for vegging, and MG Bloom Booster for flowering. I did a comparison between FF Tiger Bloom, and MG Bloom Booster, they are so similiar I didn't see a point in paying the extra for almost the same thing:

FF Tiger Bloom:
TOTAL Nitrogen (N) 2.0%
Ammoniacal Nitrogen 0.10%
Nitrate Nitrogen 1.9%
Phosphate (P205) 8.0%
Potash (K20) 4.0%
Boron (B)0.02%
Copper (Cu) 0.05%
Chelated Copper 0.05%
Iron (Fe) 0.10% 0.10%
Manganese (Mg) 0.05%
Molybdenum(Mo)0.0009%
Zinc (Zn) 0.05%

MG Bloom Booster:
TOTAL Nitrogen (N) 15%
Ammoniacal Nitrogen 5.8%
Urea Nitrogen 9.2%
Phosphate (P2O5) 30%
Potash (K2O) 15 %
Boron (B) 0.02%
Copper (Cu) 0.07%
Iron (Fe) 0.15%
Manganese (Mn) 0.05%
Molybdenum (Mo) 0.0005%
Zinc (Zn) 0.06%

Anyway here are my three in flower right now, one was vegged for 8 weeks, the others for 5. I did burn them a little, but that's my fault, not MG - I got a little overzealous after going into flower, (too excited because they are my first), and started feeding them every three days with barely a break. They have been flowering for five weeks today.:peace:

Using MG seed starter potting soil here on first plant, second and third running combo 30/70 & 40/60 w/MG seed starter and pearlite. Sofar so good on my one girl (she's only about 2wks into growing from germinated seed though) and my two seeds haven't popped yet.

Only time will tell, but should I have issues I tend to blame myself, not what I use. Especially since many have had good results with MG. Trick is to research, then research some more, then a little more research, then test, then research some more. And since I grow for just myself, I'm not overly concerned if I loose a plant or two due to over/under care. Its a learning experience and I'm doing it for the fun (during AND after) and experience of it.

i have a tent going with 5 plants, 2 AK-47, 2 Chronic from Cali (don't remember the exact strain, i remember the bud was badasss), and 1 Bagseed.

3 gallon pots, they are less than a week old.

MG organic soil. MG all purpose plant food when the time comes, I will use TigerBLoom for flower though, i got a good deal....

it's a CFL grow with 2 42 watt softwhite, and 4 26 watt daylight per plant, for now, then I will put the CFL's for side lighting and a 250 watt HPS on top... i gotta wait for it to get a little cooler since it's in a crawl space, and the cold weather will help control the temp when lights are on, for lights off (maybe lights on if it's too cold) i set up a pvc pipe with a valve that will attach to the heating of the house, to help keep it in 75 degrees....

i'll post pics later...

i always say:

"it's not the bow or the arrow, it's the indian".....

i bought some Miracle-Gro all purpose water slouble plant food 24-8-16 with micro-nutes for all flowers, vegtables, tree's,shrub's,lawns & houseplants.
it say to use 5ml per 4l of water, i was thinking of using 5ml(mg)-8L(h2O) to start and then slowly bring it up.feeding with MG every 11days and plain water whenever dries out in between.Lightes 4ft t5 plant&aquarium 4bulbs +2 13w coolwhites.
my plants are currently 3 weeks old ,in nute-less soil (really nice bagseed, i chose the largest 3 out of 100 darkstriped seeds, most likely m39,jack herer or purps. I say this becouse i got them from a friend who buys off 1 smallgrower whose only grown these sofar)
they are around 8in. tall with nice side growth, they reside in 9inch tall 8inch wide pots.
i topped 1 and FIM'd a 2nd about 3 days later i topped the 3rd (my fav)
prettymuch my question is ,is this the plant food i want from mg?and my way of application? if anyone has used this same product please help out.
thanks for your time. life's a garden, dig it!

MG Organic is the shit. I have a monster LA Woman and Crimea Blue in them. Doing better than my last grow with pro-mix. I bought MG 'cause it was cheaper, and lo and behold, it's better. Wow.

Like I've said. MG used right works just fine. (I had better results with it over FF or ProMix on a comparative grow with clones from the same momma)

Its easy to screw up (like adding nutes)
Needs a little mixing upfront (perlite, dolomite lime) but I add perlite to every soil. (even FF needs a bit more, gets compacted by harvest time)

But MG soil and just water does work fine.

so I decided to feed'em some MG , and so far so good for my first feed i mixed 5ml MG with 5L of water(they recomend 4 but i thought id start with 5 and loose a quarter of a liter each watering)they were fed lastnight and have grow 1 1/2 inches since.
i plan on letting them dry-out before re-watering
that's that i guess

Had four female bagseed give up 11 zips last year with MG moisture control and 400W MH / HPS switchable.

This year, I introduced a little twist and hollowed out a 5-inch round hole in the middle of the pot and filled it with MG seed starter. That way, the little buggers won't be hitting hot pre-ferted soil in this early delicate stage. So far so good.. (that's three bubblelicious and three superskunk from NirvanaShop there...).

Last year, I went thru some early leaf curl and bad seedling stretch due to noob mistakes. So far, I'm way ahead of last years' curve.

I have mad respect for organic growers, soil-mixer folks, and all that. I'm just older, lazier, and have a pretty hard core work schedule. So, easy is the way to go for me.

With Mg in mind: what is the best Mg nutes to use for,Veg, bloom and give (npk),also can you use the same nute in a hydro system, and would superthrive be a good additive for Mg

If using MG soil, no nutes. X-plant a week or two before flowering and go. pH'd water. A little molasses and maybe a *single* watering of a bloom boost around week 5.
