So not the prettiest bud in the world but much better than I expected! The following pics are of a smaller bud I clipped from GG who is farther along than Fedora. I took the clipping from the plant 4 days ago and the pictures are from a few minutes ago after drying the past 4 days. She smells so fruity and sweet with a bit of the chlorophyll grassy smell so she still has some time before I can really taste it

Anyway, here are a few photos of the bud

I love how those hairs stick straight out like that. Look good and I am sure they will reward you for your patience.

Peace

Thanks Big! Yeah, I was wondering why the hairs do that but I guess it's because of my gentle care with bud handling? I don't know, maybe its just the bagseed's strain...

Weedoozie, how far ahead are they? Is it allready harvest time for them?
Automon man, this is the longest process of my life thus far....

90 days flowering today and they are STILL growing more and more white hairs and buddy THC areas...I'm not sure what to do about it, if I should just harvest them or let them go until they say they're finished. Again, this is my first grow and I already got the advice of some of the Mr. Ganja's of this site (fdd2blk for one) and all of them said they looked almost ready but not quite there. Perhaps the sativa pheno really took hold of my hybrid bagseeds and that has caused this long grow cycle....I'm getting impatient staring at them and begging them to finish up for mommy though I know that patience is a huge part of this activity....so I wait...

Except today I saw that there was a seed-like thing growing in a few spots on one of Fedora's side colas...pictures will show it:

Weedoozie, those buds look awesome. The longer it takes, the bigger they get and the more they will weigh. I have seen people harvest plants in stages - for example, chopping off some smaller branches/buds which are done while letting the rest of the plant continue to grow.

About the seed-like thing: Any reason why you can't snip one off and check it out? It also looks like a really swollen calyx. Edit: Any chance it went hermi on you? I have seen some folks complain about that occurring late in the flowering stage.

Hopefully some other posters can provide some input.

Thanks for the reply Pablo! Yes, I've heard of chopping the plant as it progressively matures and I've been doing that with 2 colas on G.G that looked more ready than the rest. I think you can see one of the places I cut a cola off in pic #1. I'm indoors so I'm definitely going to let them do their thing and mature fully until I cut them down fully.

I was hoping it was just a very swollen calyx but I wasn't sure and I had to go to work like right after I posted the pics. I didn't get home until later this evening and my babies are on a timer that was already in the dark cycle by the time I got home. I don't have a green light (gotta get one!) in there so I have to wait until morning to check them out again and possibly cut off the thing in question and figure out WTF it is...
FUCK, I forgot I'm working at 6AM tomorrow so I won't be able to check on my plants until the afternoon...shitty...

God, I hope I didn't produce herms...I haven't seen any balls anywhere...I'll do a much more in depth check tomorrow afternoon. Thanks again for the help Pablo, greatly appreciated!

Heh, don't stress out over this. You have some fat buds that are close to being harvested. From here on out there is nothing you can do - other than water when needed. Let us know what you discover after removing the "thing".

SEEDS!

There are seeds growing in a few spots on Fedora, though not on her main cola, just on a few of the side colas though I haven't chopped her so I won't know until I break her apart and really get in there. I'm assuming there are a lot more seeds in her that I can't see. Whatever, I will use them if they exist.

I cannot see any seeds on G.G and there weren't any in the sample bud I took from her either. I'm hoping the seeds development is only on Fedora although I am quite perplexed as to how only one of my females could get pollinated...chances are they are both mamas. Actually, what I'm really wondering is where the hell the pollen came from?! Either from the air or...possibly the 3rd plant I had. I had a 3rd vegged plant in there with them until the flowering phase but I took him out and killed him before he had even developed balls. At this point, there's nothing I can do so I'm just hoping this medicine I'm growing will still be strong enough for me to medicate with.

They are still growing...Day 91 of flowering...my god this is taking longer then I had hoped. They will not be ready by my birthday (July 29th!) :( oh well...

Cool. So not only do you have an awesome long flowering bagseed strain that gets nice and heavy and chuck full of bud - but you also get some seeds to continue the strain. You'll still get plenty of decent, potent bud in spite of the seeds. Sounds like win/win.

Thanks for the info and cool, I'm anticipating this medicine :)
Yes, I'm thinking it may have become a hermie although I don't see any of the hermie characteristics on her...so I'm confused...

Yup, I was thinking it over today and this is probably a more ideal situation that I first worried over. Even though picking all the seeds out of the bud may become a pain, I will be able to use the seeds to make more plants or to cook with :D
Thanks for the perspective!

Thanks for the reply!
I unfortunately don't have the proper set up for a HID because my flowering room will be a box that I'm afraid might make a flammable situation, but I am planning on CFL's up and down the length of my plants, as best as I can.

I'm hoping this will work because I'll be around my plants multiple times a day so I'll be able to adjust the lights with growth. I hear this is a pain but I love my girls and I'm willing to do this. Although, with the LST I've started, I could just have a canopy lighting set up
if your using mylar with a 400+f heat resistance i dont think youll have to worry about anything catching fire but your plants hahah
