Weed smells too "green"?

when i first bought it it smelled very dank and now after being in a container for a few days i smelled it today and it smelled like grass . ive smelt weed that was way worse but i dont smell the dankness anymore just smells too green. anyone know what happened?

What is to wet/dry for THC/taste?

Not asking about to wet to smoke or so dry it turns to dust.

Many times it seems a bit more potent when it dries a bit. Other times as Justin1002 said it starts to smell bad or mold. Is it type, growing process, bad storing....is there even an answer to this?....lol

Hay/grass smell happens when it dries to fast

I doubt a significant amount of potency is lost in this case however proper curing does increase potency. A lot of smoking mj is taste which is why I don't do dabs or hash. Yes I get baked but it isn't that really happy, yummy taste in my mouth, keep smelling my fingers kinda high.

If you believe you won't get high you won't a lot of this is in our head. Like smoking a joint then getting jammed up by the man, suddenly very sober. :)
