first off yes weed should be legal.
second the bible is not the word of god. the bible has been edited many times and has several books excluded from the accepted version used in most religions(baptists, methodists. etc.). if it were the word of god it would be unabridged and unedited but it has been edited to the satisfaction of man by man.

Good point, this is one reason I don't take it word for word. The thing is you can use it against the people preaching it because they sometimes contradict themselves using it.

If the bible was the word of God, I'd like to know what chapter he wrote?:spew: What do you think the "burning bush" was? A guy climbs up a mountain, looks into a "burning bush" & comes up with the idea that stealing, killing, & fucking around with your neighbors "ole" lady is wrong....well, that explains it all -:joint:

The words in red in some bibles is Jesus speaking. When Jesus spoke it was the word of God. The English translation though was translated from the Latin translation that was translated from the Greek translation that was translated from the Aribic original bible that was writen by men. Who wants to play telephone now? lets get in a circle I'll wisper something in your ear you pass it on and we will see what is said when it gets back to me. Anyways the bible should be taken as a book of storys that teaches us morals and how to treat our fellow man, earth, wives, and how live our daily life. Don't steal, cheat, lie, kill, etc., isn't this something most of you already live by? It is good to have faith because it keeps you at peace with yourself. I believe in God and Jesus and I do believe that God is all powerful, but I don't think the bible should be taken word for word.

i also believe MJ should be legal, but not for the reason most people say-"because it is a plant". cocaine is also a plant, and having seen what that plant can do do people, i believe that is is right that is is illegal. weed should be legal because of the effects it has on the body, harmful=minimal. many more good effects than bad.

that's what i've been thinking for a long time. how can the government tell us it's bad to be able to use a natural plant. i think that there is a need for a government but there are some laws we have to resist.
I know when I was thirteen and smoked weed for the first time I started to see things different and stopped dressing like everyone else. When you start questioning the norm the government don't like that much. The government knows weed leads a lot of people to radical thought.

The bible was written a hundred years after Jesus was supposedly here. How in the hell can you have any kind of accuracy after a hundred years. Especially 2000 years ago? It would be impossible. Also the Bible was edited by the clergy of the time and added things to make the population believe, if they didn't believe there would be hell. Morality was defined by these clergy so as to make believers scared to question or the wrath of hell and the wrath of God's hand would be swift.

Wow...I am a believer...Jesus died for all of us.

That being said, from the fall of the roman empire until the end of the first crusades into the holy land, all of europe was in the dark ages. The catholic church forbid learning and in only 150 years, almost all people in europe with the exception of clergy were completely illiterate. People bragged on their dirtiness to show how pure they were of "pagan" ways. These pagan things were things like reading, bathing, any kind of learning was forbiden. The catholic church determined what the bible would say.

Ever read an Old King James bible? In Exodus 30:23,It lists a recipe for holy annointing oil.The original text called for keneh bosem. The word translates to cannabis in hebrew. The word has now been changed to sweet calmus or sweet cane. Why is that?

It is that way because it must fit the times. The catholic church isnt going to endorse the use of marijuan, so words are changed. The roman catholic church would rather people learn what the bible says from the preast, that way they can control what people learn.

I think god put cannabis here for us. And for the person who said that cocaine was a plant, but it should not be legal, i got one thing to say about that. Cocoa in its natural form was used much like coffe is today. It was chewed on breaks for energy, much like a coffee break. It was only after we found a way to process it, did it become deadly. Herb needs no processing, cut it, hang it, cure it and smoke, thats all there is too it.
