Ok, I will use some Bible verses to back this up, but god wants man to have cannabis. Not sure if he wants YOU to smoke, get yourself closer to god however you want. I am sure (sing this part as you read) "jesus wants me to blow dro, for the bible implies so".
Don't worry guys, I'm getting ready to back this up.
First off, God is OK if you indulge, you don't have to be a mormon. Jesus turned water into wine for his sake! Matthew 15.11 quotes jesus saying something to the effect of "that which goes into his mouth does not defile a man, that which comes out of a mouth defile a man". Words to others are where we can offend god, so what's more offensive than telling others what they should and should not do to their bodies to be "moral" individuals.
But it doesnt stop there! Genesis makes it clear that everything that grows, God has given to us for our use and enjoyment. The bible uses the term "meat" in this definition, so it's important to consider cannabis as "meat" in certain biblical contexts. How is this so? Just think of meat not as food, but as ANY benefit we can derive from ANY living thing. Medicine is meat.
so where is cannabis likely mentioned in the bible as "meat"? 2 places in genesis make this idea clear: 1.29-Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be meat for you"

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
So if you're onboard with the idea that cannabis is "meat" in the king james bible, I am about to blow you're mind. The bible predicted that hypocrites would one day abuse God's message. Specifically, that these people would also command others to refrain from enjoying all the "meats" that god has provided. Specifically, these meats that allow people to "know the truth". Paul 1 tim4 :in the latter times, (future) some shall … speak lies in hypocrisy … commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
So you may have already known that prohibitionists are liars and hypocrites, how does this help you? First off, it is assurance that whether religious or not, you are on the righteous side. By increasing the meats, or even the publics awareness of them, you are allowing others to "know the truth", and possibly become closer to god. Secondly, you now have ammunition to call bullshit on any Christian that opposes legalization. Whether you believe in God or Christ doesn't matter as much, you can still engage prohibitionists on a spiritual level.
