Weed Friends

Through my manys years of smoking I've found that we tokers are a very social group. We tend to enjoy sitting down and sharing our weed, stories {good and bad}, getting to know other smokers...the circle gets wider the longer you smoke it seems.

So my question to you is: Do you have any friendships/relationships directly due to the fact that you shared a joint.

One of the best and closest friendships I've ever had.... happened because I smoked a joint with a stranger at the 94 Pink Floyd concert.

oh ya ive met a lot of cool people through smoking. used to have a place on the beach where all my friends would come over almost every night and smoke with me and time from time they would bring one of their friends over and next thing you know they are there every night too. gotta love the powers of some good herb :)

I worked a concession stand on the beach once and this guy comes up asking for papers, I hand some over {discreetly of course} and he comes by hours later with his whole crew of friends and drops a ton cash on food and drinks.....needless to say we became friends

I love meeting random people and sharing a joint. That moment when they seek it on you and smile, you see a pot leaf keying or lighter, or they ask for a king size rolling paper and you go 'HEEEY, you smoke too?' All of a sudden they are your best friend. It's beautiful, especially for people like me who find it hard to socialist without the weed. The stoners I've met have been a pretty interesting bunch.

As for my first and only real relationship, I brought 2 ounces to his house, we got cosy and have been together ever since :3

Exactly.....it's almost gotten to the point where you can look at someone and go yep they puff....like cannabis aura lol

I've always thought that weed helps in allowing a person to be a little more open than they usually are, but on the other hand I've also known weed to make people into complete bumbling chatterboxes rambling on on.....lol

hell yeah - i was just at a destination wedding and brought a gram of hash and some buds. people were watching me at the reception and every time i got up people were asking 'hey where you going?' my aunt was even smoking. crazy shit.

best story not mine i remember....

my buddy in austin just moved into an apartment before a school semester and was listening to dj screw (see my thread https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/532440-dj-screw.html) in his apartment when all of a sudden he got a knock at the door. he opened it and there was some dude he didn't know holding a blunt filled with weed just smiling. the dude said 'hey man, i heard you jamming screw so i know you smoke!" they still blaze 10 years later

Damn I need friends like that, most of the ones I smoke with are too scared to even talk about it? Or they are just extremely addicted and it becomes their main focus... every day... or they think your life is exactly like yours.... or... yeah you get the picture. My problem is probably from smoking too MUCH with them.

Ahh yes, you're speaking of the "weedar". It's something that all stoners get with enough experience.

I don't have friends anymore. I smoked alone 91% of the time anyway...They all got pissed at me about something, dunno, maybe they thought I was a narc. I have met people before I started smoking that moved to this town because they were narcs. Hopefully no one grooms that biz around here. I'm getting read to start on one of my first grows..

I've broken the ice with alot of people because I smelt like burnt bud. You walk into a hotel elevator,3 seconds of silence, then one dudes always saying "someone started the party before us" or something of that nature. Then ya get that guilty smile that cannot be doubled without being blazed. Great thread OP.

Classic...I used to work in a office building and coming in from lunch break I would always get those looks in the elevator, then one day the office manager says to me....Umm we need to go to lunch together sometime, couldn't help but smile and laugh

true words. but this is orlando and if you LOOK at all suspicious you'll get that "you blow that loud?" and that's how weed relationships start out here for me. so many people smoke out here that its almost CUSTOMARY to ask when you first meet a person. ANYBODY. if i don't ask, they'll eventually ask.
