Hello,I harvested like 2 weeks ago but ive noticed it hasnt really got a weed smell to it. Its got that cut grass hay smell only very faintly though like if you stick the bud right up to your nose and really sniff it lol when growing id squeeze the buds then smell my fingers and it would reek of citrus , not too bummed because its gets me very high and doesnt really taste that bad at all, tbh i got a little too impatient and only let her hang dry for like 2 days... Is this where i went wrong? Overall nice bud but as for smell i dunno? Just bugging me a little

Yes that's your problem. You need minimum seven days to dry, maybe a bit less if it's very hot and that's without a cure etc. Don't have a fan blowing directly on your drying bud as this ruins it, point it at a wall or something as you just need a little air movement.

I chop my plants before lights come on, trim and manicure and then I normally hang manicured branches to dry for 2-3 days in my flowering tent.. just until they feel kind of dry. I then trim buds off of branches and place them either in wide mouth mason jars or large plastic containers that seal air tight, leaving the lid off for a few hours before beginning the cure. I have never hung my indoor plants longer than 3 or 4 days before jarring and have never ended up with grassy smelling buds.
If I were you I would be patient and continue curing and the smell you want should come back.

Great advice..... Same here, except I like to start my cure in doubled up paper bags. I like more moisture than most when I cure. Takes more patience to burp and cure.....but totally worth the end product. After bags I go into totes.

The grassy smell should go away after you cure for a while......GL

When I was young and learning. I would over dry my buds. Talk about hay smell.....FML
