So here we go! A little backstory..... Last Feb. I was planning on hitting the slopes with a friend of mine and we were in need of a little herb.

I ended up paying way too much for way too little and it was dirty! My buddy made the comment "I could grow better smoke than this" and an idea was sparked.

I had saved seeds from bags of decent smoke including a giant nug I picked up in Jamaica. What made me decide to keep all those seeds.... I don't know but am thankful I did!

I have already had my first grow and it was a success although I stumbled and tortured the poor plants along the way. The best part of the first try was the EXPERIENCE. It was awesome and I learned ALOT. I read and read and READ!

So again here we go lets get on with the grow!

!!THE ROOM!!

I started with an unfinished tool / utilty room in the basement. I built a wall and installed a locking door so I now have a room in a room.

I have sectioned the room off into three parts. Veg, Flower, and general utility.
The veg part is 3'x4' with an adjustable shelf. Above the shelf I have a double 2' flouro and humidity dome for seedlings and clones. And hanging under is a 400w MH

The flower section is 4'x6' with a 1000w HPS. I have a 250cfm fan pulling through a carbon filter. The walls are covered in mylar. I took a different approach to the mylar. Instead of stapling a big sheet up I took smaller pieces and glued them onthe wall with spray adhesive, like really shiny wallpaper.

The utility seciton is a couple feet wide and has a full shelf to keep tools, and nutes organized.

I am starting 10 bagseeds. The five in a straight line are ones I picked and the five in a V shape are the ones my wife picked out.

I have them between papertowels with filtered water up in a warm closet. I put them on last night and will be checking in a day or two

!!PIC UPDATE!!

Ok so all ten seeds popped in the towel and I transfered to my seedling setup.

I take a coco plug and soak in PH neutral water. I then split the plug about halfway down so when I transfer the sprout I can place it with as little stress as possible.

I then put the plug into a clear solo cup with holes cut into the bottom for drainage and fill it up with my soil mix. I then put the clear cup into another colored cup. Sorry I can't remember where I learned it but it works great because you can lift the clear cup and check the roots without any stress to the plant at all and find out when they are ready to transplant.

Heres the pics!

All ten are above ground now. First came through a couple days ago and the last poked her head through last night.

Pics of the little buddies are from today. Also added three seeds my friend tossed me. Don't know what strain they are but it blasted me when I smoked it.

Transplant Time!

So they have been above ground for 10 days or so and have developed a nice root structure. Here are a couple of pics showing the roots through the clear cups.

Transplanting to a new home.

I am moving all thirteen to my flower area. I got a 1000w MH from a friend and with no ladies flowering right now I am going to use this space to veg them.

I will change the light back to my 1000w HPS in a few weeks when I turn them to flower.

I am transplanting to a mix of Miracle Grow Peat moss and Potting soil. I will not need to add any nutes for a couple of weeks.

Under the flouros I was running 24/0 now under the 1000w MH I am changing to 18/6 with the light 40 inches above the plants. I will lower it in a few days after they adjust to the new light intensity.

Thanks for looking and feel free to comment. Tips, suggestions, or just to say hi.

I am learning more as I go but I hope that what I learn can be used by others who want to enjoy this great experience!

Alright so we are now 4 weeks from sprouts and looking fine.

I just went on a 6 day vacation and got home none too soon, all the pots were dry, dry, dry and the leaves were looking yellow and wilty.

I just fully soaked the ladies and they sprang right out of it. Here are a few pics of all the gals. :hump:

You asked for my opinion so here it is,

Looks like you've read up and know what to do, I predict you will have a successful grow with no problems. You might have a slight stuble somewhere along the line but I think you will be happy in the end.

I give you the OK to go ahead and order some real seeds. Try some Dutch Passion Blueberry everyone says it is difficult so when you grow it you will feel like you accomplished something. I don't think it is any different than anything else myself. I'll keep up with your journal as you go and if I see anything I'll let you know. The only thing I can add is that you may try some Gro Lux Flourescent bulbs, this is just a personal opinion after trying them, I was happy with the results, so happy I plan on not changing that part of my setup. No more CFL's just start everything under Gro Lux bulbs until they are tall enough to flower. I'd tell you good luck but I don't fell you need it, you have things under control !!!!!!!

So you like the miricle grow soil with peatmoss? I think I might try your method and see if it works.

I went half and half and that makes it dry out to quick, I would do like 2/3 potting soil and 1/3 mixed peat moss and a little sand.

Let me know how the flush works for you on your grow. Do you have a journal from start on this grow?

the girlies are lookin good +rep very nice setup

Thanks for the Rep! I will be posting some new pics later today. They are vegging and growing like WEEDS!

Friend of mine just ordered some White Widow, Durban Poison, Chrystal and a couple of others, he is going to toss me some beans when they come in! I will add those to the Temple when they get here :hump:

Like I said new pics a little later and I will toss in a pic of my Pooch for Pitbudz.... He is a pit with choc lab mix and he kicks ass! Peace:peace:

These plants are growing so much better than my first attempt. If I look in on them in the morning I can see new growth by the time I get home from work. :hump:

NEWAYZ wanted to toss some pics up
