Weed and ablify. Weird reaction?

So I've been smoking for two years and before last December I didn't get very high but thought I was but since then I realized that all of the time before that I might've just been buzzed a little and I dont know what I was doing wrong before that because I could take like 20 hits and be fine. So it started on a cool December day hanging out at my friends house. So we're chilling and my friend all of a sudden sais "this guy has some weed and it's really good we should go to his house". So we end up driving over and we get there and we're just hanging out with the guy and the guy sais "it's boring what do you guys wanna do?" (His house is out in the desert) so I reply "let's toke up".

*he goes in the house to get the stuff* so I already have a little bit with me but wanted to save it and my stuff looked like just okay stuff, not perfect though. So I quickly construct a bong within 5 minutes from stuff in his yard. (I know stoner smarts right lol!) and I spark a little up but don't have time to inhale any and he finally comes out of his house with it after what seems like an eternity and we smoke out of an expo pipe he made and he tells me it's purple kush from Cali.(best stuff around). I took like four hits and didn't feel anything but I have this thing inside telling me not to take anymore. So I'm normal and all of a sudden it gets weird. We were at his house for 30 more minutes and I apparently tried to run around and tried to pee in bushes, I lost my glasses somehow, I looked at my friends faces and they had changed so much if I took a quick glance I though they had turned into family guy characters.

So my friends bro drops me off at my house and I go inside and can't get comfortable,I drink glasses and glasses of water so I don't pass out and lay in my room and everything is spinning and the high lasted for 6 hours. I smoked a couple times after that and had the same reaction to weed. Then finally a couple days ago I was walking down the street and this guy pops out of his yard and asks if i wanna smoke so I take 4 good hits and got pretty messed up but not nearly as bad and I freaked out a little but not that bad and the end was very peaceful and enjoyable, kinda like a true stoned feeling, not a freaking out feeling and after 2 hours the high was gone. (This is the first time I've smoked since being off Abilify) would Abilify have anything to do with the weird reactions to weed?

Yeah, my psychiatrist told me "it's such a low dose, so I can take you right off" it was like 2.5 mg (not even a whole pill) and he took me right off it. But I'm wondering if the dosage didn't really matter because I smoked purple kush after being on Abilify for over a year, so maybe it worked itself deep into my bloodstream. I had really bad reactions until I got off of it and now I freak out at first a little but it goes into a truly stoned feeling and becomes really enjoyable.

Yes and no. On Abilify I would have like 6 hours of straight freaking out and no enjoyment. Off of it weed freaks me out a little but then goes into an enjoyable state. But Im kind of an occasional smoker like most of the time when I smoke its after not smoking for a month or two. I might have to kind of mess around and find out how many hits it takes for me to enjoy it completely but not freak out. Being on Abilify the freak outs were like 10 times worse than what I get now. Again I also smoke usually after not smoking for a while.

than i suggest indica strains of marijuana, to help with the fear, also smoke where youre comfortable, if youre around many people at a party not the best for anxiety issues, if youre at home chillin, better, or somewhere you feel ssafe, be aware of your surroundings . I dont think abilify caused a reaction there are very few drugs that do cause a reaction with marijuana, I think though that abilify was NOT for you and that the mj heightened your anxiety because you say you get a tad freaked out when you do smoke but than you can relax after, i think on abilify you had a lot of thoughts about how you panicked once before and it kept happening, anxiety is stupid like that . lol

I wanted to add to what Sunni has already said, some sativa's can cause anxiety/nervousness in some people. I too would suggest looking into some Indica's or a indica dominant hybrid. Also regardless of what your doctor said about being on such a small dose of ambilify, you can have adverse reactions if it is abruptly stopped. I have gone off a lot of medications and the anti-depressant's are some of the worse as far as side effects. You might want cut your pill in half and slowly taper down off of ambilify. Remember that even after stopping the drug, you can experience the side effects for while like a month or sometimes longer. Here is what I found on Wiki, I know it is not the best source, but it is a place to start. You will notice one of the side effects of stopping is nervousness and anxiety, just thought it might help shed some light on what is going on.

"Discontinuation
Aripiprazole should be discontinued gradually, with careful consideration from the prescribing doctor, to avoid withdrawal symptoms or relapse.
The British National Formulary recommends a gradual withdrawal when discontinuing anti-psychotic treatment to avoid acute withdrawal syndrome or rapid relapse.[20] Due to compensatory changes at dopamine, serotonin, adrenergic and histamine receptor sites in the central nervous system, withdrawal symptoms can occur during abrupt or over-rapid reduction in dosage. Withdrawal symptoms reported to occur after discontinuation of antipsychotics include nausea, emesis, lightheadedness, diaphoresis, dyskinesia, orthostatic hypotension, tachycardia, nervousness, dizziness, headache, excessive non-stop crying, and anxiety.[21][22] Some have argued that additional somatic and psychiatric symptoms associated with dopaminergic super-sensitivity, including dyskinesia and acute psychosis, are common features of withdrawal in individuals treated with neuroleptics.[23][24][25][26] This has led some to suggest that the withdrawal process might itself be schizo-mimetic, producing schizophrenia-like symptoms even in previously healthy patients, indicating a possible pharmacological origin of mental illness in a yet unknown percentage of patients currently and previously treated with antipsychotics. This question is unresolved, and remains a highly controversial issue among professionals in the medical and mental health communities, as well the public.[27]"

good luck and keep looking for a strain that will not make you freak out, freaking is no fun.
